Teams at Outside

Leads the visual identity and creative strategy for Outside Magazine and digital editorial platforms. Oversees design, photography, illustration, photo shoots, budgets, freelancers, vendors, and cross-functional creative initiatives. Responsibilities include directing magazine and web features, developing newsletter and social assets, launching a photo hub, integrating video into editorial systems, partnering on site design, and creating branded merchandise.

Lead two engineering groups building shared foundational services (identity, subscription). Drive technical strategy, architecture, observability, CI/CD, and DORA metrics. Manage people, hiring, cross-team collaboration, product partnerships, and mentor engineers while occasionally prototyping and contributing to code and technical planning.

Sell Inntopia's SaaS commerce and marketing cloud to mid-market hospitality and destination operators. Own full sales cycle, conduct discovery, deliver demos, build ROI models, manage stakeholders, maintain Salesforce pipeline, collaborate with product and implementation teams, and represent the company at industry events.
