Provides technical authority for Venmo’s cloud data platform infrastructure and performance engineering. Defines architecture and technology roadmaps for databases, data pipelines, messaging, caching, and high-scale payment systems. Leads performance, scalability, reliability, DevOps, and AI-first engineering initiatives while remaining hands-on. Influences executives and engineering teams, mentors senior technical talent, evaluates build-versus-buy decisions, and drives improvements across large-scale distributed systems.

Build and operate resilient cloud infrastructure for Venmo’s Business Continuity team. Responsibilities include chaos engineering, disaster recovery automation, backup and restore tooling, incident game days, infrastructure-as-code, incident troubleshooting, resilience metrics, SLOs, and recovery objectives. The role mentors engineers, coordinates technical initiatives, and supports globally scaled AWS services across the full software development lifecycle.

Build, test, and ship Android commerce experiences for Venmo using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose. Own features from technical design through launch, experimentation, observability, and iteration. Integrate backend APIs and payment platform capabilities, ensure performance, accessibility, security, and resilience, and collaborate with iOS, Product, and Data Science teams. Participate in design and code reviews, instrument product funnels, and resolve production issues.
