Lead R&D, evaluation, benchmarking, and integration of EO/IR (visible, thermal, multispectral) camera systems for autonomous maritime platforms. Design electrical interfaces, perform performance and environmental testing, prototype and field-test installations, execute trade studies, author technical documentation, and mentor junior engineers while collaborating with autonomy, software, and mechanical teams.

Supervise composite fabrication for autonomous surface vessels, managing technicians, production schedules, material selection, quality control to DoD standards, process improvements, training, and collaboration with engineering and R&D.

Lead electrical infrastructure design, standards, and construction for industrial facilities. Own project programming, equipment sizing, RFPs, third-party design reviews, field commissioning, and small-project design management; travel ~10%.

Coordinate and deliver mission and program objectives for autonomous surface vehicle (ASV) operations. Plan missions, operate and monitor ASVs, analyze mission data, produce reports, train DoD personnel, manage project progress and stakeholder communications, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

Develop, optimize, and sustain wire harness manufacturing processes for autonomous marine vehicles. Support NPI and production with work instructions, tooling, test validation, process improvements, root cause analysis, and cross-functional coordination to ensure IPC/WHMA-A-620 compliance, quality, and throughput.

Design, implement, and optimize software systems for autonomous surface vessels (using NixOS). Integrate with hardware, implement control and sensor-fusion algorithms, optimize low-bandwidth/high-latency communications, test and validate software, debug complex issues, participate in code reviews, and document designs and test results for reliable maritime operations.

Design and deliver PCB schematics and layouts from concept to production for high-reliability systems. Own component selection, schematic capture, placement, routing, DFM/DFT, prototype bring-up, testing, and documentation while ensuring EMI/EMC, thermal, and signal integrity compliance and collaborating with mechanical, firmware, and manufacturing teams.

Lead site quality operations for shipyard fabrication, integration, outfitting, testing, and delivery. Implement and manage the QMS, drive audits and CAPA, oversee inspections/NDT, ensure ABS/US Navy/regulatory compliance, analyze quality data, lead continuous improvement and mentor quality staff.

Manage supplier quality by conducting audits, driving root-cause analysis and CAPA, qualifying new suppliers, monitoring supplier metrics, collaborating cross-functionally, and leading continuous improvement projects to ensure materials and components meet company and regulatory standards.

Maintain and update electrical and mechanical component libraries in ECAD/MCAD systems. Interpret component datasheets, enter part attributes and metadata, field engineer questions, flag discrepancies, and keep auditable records following defined standards and workflows.

Lead quality planning and execution across NPI stages, driving DFMEA/PFMEA, control and inspection plans, process validation, MRB support, root-cause analysis, and QMS documentation to enable scalable production.
