Teams at State Bar of Texas

Assists the Executive Director with legal research, policy development, legislation, rules, programs, and initiatives improving access to justice for low-income Texans. Conducts research on self-represented litigation, case law, and legal barriers; drafts memoranda, agreements, reports, publications, and grant applications; supports stakeholder meetings and partnerships; and advises on updating legal forms and policies. Requires collaboration with legal, government, nonprofit, and community organizations.

Manages a portfolio of grants for nonprofit legal services organizations, including application review, award recommendations, budget and compliance monitoring, reporting, grantee support, site visits, stakeholder convenings, and grant agreement preparation. The role also conducts research, prepares communications, maintains grant data, and develops expertise relevant to assigned subject areas.
