Design and implement secure, reliable synchronization and networking systems for distributed AI across edge devices, cloud environments, and air-gapped government systems. Architect frameworks using content-addressable storage, Merkle trees, and CRDTs; optimize distributed software under resource constraints; apply threat modeling and cryptography; collaborate on restricted-system deployments; and maintain testing, observability, and compliance readiness. The role requires 25–50% travel to offices, government field sites, and test locations.

Build and maintain reusable platform capabilities using Rust and systems-engineering practices. Design stable APIs and SDKs, develop backend software, improve CI/CD and release automation, package and distribute software, and diagnose performance, concurrency, reliability, and integration issues. The role owns features from architecture through production support, creates documentation and developer tooling, and collaborates across product and engineering teams.

Develop shared Kotlin Multiplatform modules, Compose Multiplatform and SwiftUI interfaces, and on-device or remote AI integrations for a cross-platform mobile application. Responsibilities include performance profiling, troubleshooting complex technical issues, code review, establishing engineering conventions, collaborating with coding agents, and mentoring teammates. The role requires extensive mobile development experience, strong Kotlin skills, familiarity with mobile tooling and app stores, and strong product judgment.
