At Monalee, we’re on a mission to accelerate the adoption of home solar, storage, and EV charging by making clean energy more accessible, transparent, and affordable. Founded in 2022, we’ve rapidly grown into a venture-backed climate tech company, leveraging advanced machine learning and AI to revolutionize the residential solar industry. Our proprietary platform, Artemis, enables instant, accurate solar proposals, streamlining the process for homeowners and installers alike.

Our team is fully remote, highly skilled, and committed to delivering a high-quality user experience, while pushing soft costs low enough to make us one of the best values in solar.

About the role

  • We’re currently looking for a 3D GIS & Urban Visualization Specialist to help us scale our software suite artemis.solar

What you'll do

  • Develop high-quality 3D models of houses and urban areas from satellite or aerial imagery.
  • Create and optimize real-time 3D visualizations for web-based platforms.
  • Collaborate with web developers to ensure smooth integration of 3D assets into the frontend experience.
  • Build robust pipelines for processing raw geospatial imagery, aligning datasets, and preparing 3D inputs.
  • Document methodologies, experiments, and findings; actively participate in code reviews and technical discussions.
  • Design and prepare high-quality datasets (e.g., RGB images, depth maps, 3D meshes) for training deep learning models for 3D reconstruction or object recognition.
  • Validate and refine model outputs to ensure geometric accuracy, visual realism, and performance optimization.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or higher in Urban Planning, Geomatics, Architecture, GIS, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of professional experience in 3D modeling of urban environments or city-scale visualization.
  • Proven experience working with 3D city models, digital twins, or urban simulations.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating previous work on urban-scale 3D modeling or visualization projects.
  • Experience with GIS and geospatial tools, e.g., QGIS, ArcGIS, or PostGIS.
  • Familiarity with CityGML, CesiumJS, or other tools for 3D city data and web visualization.
  • Ability to work with aerial imagery, DSM, LiDAR, photogrammetry, or other 3D data sources.
  • Experience in coding or automatization  (e.g., Python, JavaScript, or C++).

What we offer

  • Professional development through courses, seminars, and certifications.
  • Annual tech allowance.
  • Health benefits.
  • Stock options.
  • Paid time off and vacations.
  • Fully remote work.

If you are passionate about 3D technologies and projects to help accelerate renewable energies, looking for growth opportunities, and eager to face exciting challenges in a dynamic startup environment, we’d love to hear from you.
