Role Overview

The Account Director - EU Market (Germany Focus) is responsible for managing ID5’s key European accounts and accelerating the company’s growth and adoption across the EU region. This individual contributor role combines strategic client management with deep market expertise, focusing particularly on Germany - one of ID5’s most critical growth markets.

The Account Director acts as a trusted commercial and cultural bridge between ID5 and its European clients. They bring strong business acumen, a deep understanding of the EU AdTech landscape, and the ability to navigate regional market nuances while driving measurable revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and expand key EU-based client relationships, with an emphasis on Germany and surrounding markets.
  • Drive retention, renewals, and revenue expansion across the European portfolio.
  • Serve as ID5’s subject matter expert on the EU AdTech ecosystem, privacy regulations, and local data partnerships.
  • Develop and execute multi-quarter account strategies that align with regional market dynamics and ID5’s business goals.
  • Build and nurture executive-level relationships with clients, agencies, and partners across the UK & EU, particularly within the DACH region.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Legal, and Marketing to ensure ID5’s offerings meet the unique needs of EU clients.
  • Represent ID5 at industry events (DMEXCO, ATS Berlin, AdWeek Europe, Cannes Lions) and act as a brand ambassador within the region.

Key Requirements

  • 7–10+ years of experience managing enterprise or strategic accounts within AdTech, MarTech, or SaaS.
  • Proven success driving revenue growth and retention in the European market, with particular expertise in Germany.
  • Deep understanding of EU data privacy regulations (GDPR) and their impact on identity and addressability.
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to articulate ID5’s value proposition to executive stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated network across European publishers, platforms, agencies, and data partners.
  • Language: Business proficient/fluent in German and English (reading, writing, and speaking).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with executive presence.

Success Metrics

  • Revenue Growth: Achievement of assigned expansion and renewal targets across EU accounts.
  • Retention: 95%+ renewal rate across portfolio.
  • Market Expansion: Increased footprint and adoption within key European markets, especially Germany.
  • Forecasting: Clean and accurate revenue projections.
  • Brand Presence: Representation of ID5 as a thought leader at major EU industry events.

Travel

Up to 25% for client meetings, regional events, and internal collaboration across the EU.
