The Role

Explore is seeking an experienced Sales Account Executive to further expand new product growth and increase market share. This exciting role requires a self-starter who can identify customer needs by fostering and maintaining meaningful sales relationships and actively drive new business opportunities. Successful candidates will be self-motivated, technically savvy and resilient.  This role is working for the Explore Information Services Division of Solera.  Explore brings industry leading to underwriting data to the nation’s top insurance companies.  This role is responsibility for a territory of existing business and responsible for growth and expanding our product base within that territory.  This role is 60% Account management and development and 40% acquisition of new customer targets. 

 

What You’ll Do

  • Development and management of a remote multi-state territory focused on the auto and property insurance vertical market.
  • Create and execute a territory sales strategy designed to exceed company revenue goals through new customer acquisition.
  • Execute the entire sales lifecycle; prospecting, presenting, closing, contract negotiations and maintenance of effective professional relationships.
  • Provide accurate and timely forecasts and CRM updates on territory sales activity.
  • Establish and manage detailed account plans for existing and new major account opportunities.
  • Partner with Product Development to provide access to customers to review/vet concepts and participate in beta development.

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Additional certifications or licenses, skills, characteristics, and physical ability.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing or related
  • 5+ years of demonstrated success selling directly to customers at all levels within an organization.  Experience selling into financial services organizations preferred. 
  • Self-starter with experience and the ability to manage assigned and prospective accounts in a designated geographic territory
  • Ability to decipher complex customer needs and articulate our value proposition
  • Ability to effectively execute entire sales lifecycle; prospecting, presenting, closing, contract negotiations and management of professional relationships
  • Self-motivated, passionate and team-oriented
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated success in business to business sales – preferably in a vertical market
  • Background working with insurance, information solutions, or technology preferred
  • Ability to travel up to 40%
