About the Role
TaxGPT is building the intelligence layer for tax. We’ve partnered with over 3,000 firms and 6,000+ businesses from lean CPAs to global enterprises to redefine how professionals research, collaborate, and execute tax workflows using AI.
We're looking for a world-class Account Executive to join our sales team. If you’re someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, loves consultative selling, and wants to close high-impact deals while shaping the future of tax AI, this is the role for you.
- Win and grow revenue by selling TaxGPT into accounting firms, tax departments, and financial services teams. You'll own the entire sales cycle, from first outbound to trial activation to close.
- Design and execute targeted sales strategies that reflect the nuances of tax firm procurement, CFO-led buying processes, and finance team workflows.
- Drive firm-wide adoption and expansion by identifying use cases across research, review, and tax workflows. You’ll activate individual champions while navigating firm partners, CFOs, tax leads, and ops teams to secure long-term licensing deals.
- Navigate complex stakeholder ecosystems across firms and enterprises, from sole proprietors and managing partners to finance execs, IT stakeholders, and procurement leaders.
- Deliver crisp, consultative demos that connect TaxGPT to tangible ROI: time saved, fees avoided, insights unlocked, and workflows accelerated.
- Collaborate across GTM, product, and success to influence roadmap priorities based on user feedback. You’ll surface insights from the field, what firms love, what they need, what’s blocking adoption, and help shape how we sell and what we build.
- Refine and scale the sales playbook by continuously sharing learnings, scripts, objection handling, and usage-based selling strategies. You’ll contribute to a performance-driven sales culture rooted in clarity, accountability, and curiosity.
- 3–5 years of sales experience in a SaaS or technology company, ideally with experience in AI, generative AI, LLM-based products, or fintech platforms
- Proven track record of meeting & exceeding sales targets in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to run high-quality discovery and deliver consultative demos that uncover urgency and drive value
- Clear communicator with exceptional writing skills, strong video presence, and follow-up discipline
- Experienced user of GTM tools, including HubSpot, Apollo, and other sales platforms
- Strong operator who inspects pipeline daily, updates deal hygiene religiously, and course-corrects with intent
- Deep curiosity for how AI is reshaping industries like tax, finance, and accounting
- Experience selling to tax professionals and professional services firms
- Background in accounting, tax, or a CPA
- Familiarity with tax workflows, return preparation, or legacy tools like CCH or Thomson Reuters
