About Delight

Delight is an AI-first customer orchestration platform built for the field service industry - the electricians, HVAC technicians, solar installers, and countless others who keep our communities running. These businesses are the backbone of the country, employing nearly 5% of the U.S. workforce (about 1 in 20 people), yet they often struggle with complicated front-office tools and lack the operational teams and resources of larger businesses. Delight helps them maximize revenue and deliver better customer experiences by providing modern, easy-to-use tools for marketing, automation, and customer engagement.

Delight is led by repeat founders with a track record of building and scaling impactful products. CEO Will Dinkel previously founded and sold an AI go-to-market startup, and CTO Charles Dudley was a tech lead on React, the open-source library that powers millions of apps and websites worldwide.

About This Role

We’re hiring our first two Account Executives - full-funnel sellers who will own the entire sales cycle from cold outreach to close. This is a rare opportunity to join a venture-backed startup at the ground floor and help drive Delight’s go-to-market motion.

You’ll work directly with the founding team to execute our sales process, build relationships with small business owners across the country, and drive the company’s early growth trajectory. As one of our first sales hires, you’ll have outsized influence on our processes, messaging, and culture, with room to grow into a leadership role as the team expands.

Location: Austin, TX (5 days in-office per week)

What You’ll Do
  • Own the full sales cycle, from prospecting and cold calling to demoing, negotiating, and closing new business

  • Build and manage a healthy pipeline of qualified opportunities, leveraging both outbound and inbound leads

  • Develop a deep understanding of our customers (field service business owners) and their day-to-day challenges

  • Partner closely with the CEO and product team to refine our messaging and feedback loops

  • Iterate on sales scripts, email templates, and demos to continuously improve conversion rates

  • Contribute to a high-energy, collaborative sales culture that celebrates learning and growth

Who You Are
  • 1–3 years of full-cycle closing experience in B2B sales (startup or SMB-focused preferred)

  • Comfortable prospecting, cold calling, and owning deals from start to finish

  • Proven track record of exceeding quota or other measurable sales targets

  • Excellent communicator who can connect with diverse audiences and earn trust quickly

  • Entrepreneurial, resourceful, and energized by ambiguity and ownership

  • Excited about shaping the GTM strategy for a high-growth, venture-backed startup

Why Join
  • Join as one of the first sales hires, with a direct impact on Delight’s growth and sales culture

  • Mentorship from experienced founders with deep go-to-market and AI backgrounds

  • Opportunity to grow into a team lead or sales manager role as the company scales

  • Competitive base salary plus commission and meaningful equity

  • Be part of a company solving real problems for the people who keep our communities running

If you’re hungry to build, eager to learn, and ready to help define the go-to-market motion of a fast-growing startup, we’d love to hear from you.
