About Baselayer
Trusted by 2,200+ financial institutions, Baselayer is the intelligent business identity platform that helps verify any business, automate KYB, and monitor real-time risk. Baselayer’s B2B risk solutions and identity graph network leverage state and federal government filings and proprietary data sources to prevent fraud, accelerate onboarding, and lower credit losses.

We are building category-defining infrastructure for business identity in highly regulated markets, with a strong focus on execution, ownership, and long-term impact.

About the Role
We are looking for an Account Executive to help scale Baselayer’s go-to-market motion and drive revenue growth. This role owns the full sales cycle and works closely with founders, product, and GTM leadership to refine positioning, messaging, and sales execution.

This is a high-impact role for someone who wants meaningful ownership, fast growth, and the opportunity to help build a category-defining company from an early stage. This role reports directly to the Head of Sales.

What You’ll Do

  • Own the full sales cycle including prospecting, qualification, discovery, demos, pilots, negotiation, and close

  • Build and manage a healthy pipeline across SMB, mid-market, and or enterprise accounts

  • Execute outbound prospecting sequences to generate new opportunities

  • Lead discovery conversations to deeply understand customer pain points and align Baselayer’s solutions

  • Run high-quality product demos and manage customer trials or pilots

  • Partner closely with Product and Engineering to share customer feedback and influence roadmap decisions

  • Collaborate with GTM leadership to refine positioning, messaging, and sales motions

  • Represent Baselayer with professionalism, credibility, and thought leadership in the market

About You
You are hungry, competitive, and motivated to win. You are ready to bet on yourself.

You are not here just to close deals. You want to help build something enduring, shape a category, and earn meaningful ownership in a company redefining business identity. You thrive in fast-moving environments, learn quickly, and take full ownership of outcomes.

You are both strategic and scrappy, able to engage credibly with leaders across fintech, credit, fraud, risk, and operations.

Required Experience and Skills

  • 2 to 4 or more years of experience in SaaS sales, fintech, financial services, or a highly analytical GTM role

  • A consistent track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets

  • Experience running complex, consultative sales cycles with technical or analytical buyers

  • Strong discovery, storytelling, and objection-handling skills

  • Comfort operating in ambiguity and rapidly evolving environments

  • A proactive, self-directed mindset where you create momentum rather than wait for direction

What Sets You Apart

  • High intellectual curiosity and fast learning ability

  • Strong desire for feedback, growth, and continuous improvement

  • Ambition for equity, leadership, and meaningful ownership in the company you are helping build

  • Ability to operate with urgency, accountability, and high standards

Work Location

  • Hybrid in our NYC office or remote

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base salary range of $95,000 to $145,000

  • Equity package

  • Unlimited vacation

  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage

  • 401(k) with company match

  • Rapid career growth as the company scales

The base salary range listed for this full-time position excludes commission (if applicable), equity and benefits. The pay range shown on each job posting is the minimum and maximum target for new-hire salaries. Actual pay may be higher or lower depending on factors like skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
