We are looking for a talented individual…

CLEAResult, the North American leader in the design and implementation of Demand Side Management (DSM) programs for energy utility clients, is searching for a talented individual to join our team as a Demand Response Account Manager focused on supporting a large Commercial & Industrial Demand Response program!

The Demand Response Account Manager promotes energy demand curtailment concepts, strategies, services, and financial incentives available to customers from their local utility. As an Account Manager, you will work to identify cost effective investments in Demand Response to include onsite customer assessments and delivery of value propositions of program participation.   In addition, regular communication and collaboration with client program team and key accounts management to ensure alignment on program priorities and participation in regular remote and in-person client update meetings will be a primary focus.

The successful candidate will be based in Texas and be available to be present in the Austin area as program priorities warrant.

Project Management

  • Based on each commercial customer/potential program participants specific needs, support program participants in order to maximize value for both customer and client through successful implementation of demand curtailment strategies appropriate for their facilities
  • Perform site assessments and make recommendations on program participation.  Deliver value propositions to key stakeholders internal and external (e.g. client key accounts and customers)
  • Track and report partners projects in a timely manner
  • Develop program processes and make recommendations for improvement

Outreach & Recruitment

  • Work to achieve client demand reduction goals and collaborate on appropriate recruitment and retention strategies to maximize demand reduction capacity and customer incentives
  • Collaborate with and recruit potential program participants through client key accounts management and facilitate program participation by effectively communicating the value proposition of the program to key program stakeholders internal and external
  • Work with program management and client to create meaningful metrics on program activities and to track and report on program activities on a regular basis

Customer Service/Reporting

  • Work effectively with all entities (e.g., owners, managers, facilities staff, engineers, contractors, and client) involved to optimize demand reduction potential and program incentives available
  • Identify and escalate program/partner issues in a timely manner to the appropriate level of management
  • Be prepared for standing weekly and monthly report out meetings with internal team and/or utility client(s)
  • Work with program management, client,  and internal teams to develop a program management dashboard to increase program, transparency, visibility, and value of program team activities and performance to client stakeholders

Exciting candidates will have…

  • BS preferred, additional post-graduate education and/or related training a plus
  • 3-5 years of experience in a professional position preferably in energy efficiency, demand response, outside sales, consulting or similar field
  • Proven ability to communicate a value proposition, facilitate trust, and foster good working relationships with all program stakeholders, internal and external
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with contractors, customers, and/or client utility teams about program strategies and benefits
  • Knowledge of demand response and demand curtailment strategies that can be deployed by commercial and institutional customers is a strong differentiator

Target Compensation:

$80,000

Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data/ranges, applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications (e.g. JD/technology), for example.
