Position Summary

Internships are Monday through Friday for 40 hours a week. Our interns are immersed in a vigorous environment with direct access to senior sales representatives and managers in an open working environment that is designed to encourage the free flow of ideas and information. Interns gain familiarity with the physical flow of commodities in both domestic and international markets and an understanding of Smith’s position in a global market. Sales activities are conducted through various cities around the world thus our interns directly impact both sales and deliveries of commodities to customers around the globe.

Responsibilities

  • Learn the collaboration process of multiple teams within the business that ensure seamless pre-and post-sales customer service

  • Assist with preparing sales-related documents such as new customer applications, presentations, etc

  • Maintain updated and accurate data in the CRM

  • Research potential customers to verify viability, needs and contact information

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s in business, sales, industrial distribution or a related field

  • Participation in extracurricular activities to demonstrate time management and multitasking skills

Dates: Monday, June 1st to Friday, August 7th (10 weeks)

Location: Fully in Office at Arboretum Plaza One, 9442 Capital of Texas Highway North, Suite 900
