While this is a remote position, the successful candidate must reside within 50 miles of a FedEx Freight location in Memphis, TN or St. Charles, MO.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Focuses on personal sales targets by developing new business opportunities, troubleshooting customer problems and enhancing existing customer relationships. Contacts large sized 3PL or 4PL, prospects and collaborates with other sales professionals as a transportation intermediary expert within a defined geographic territory to sell LTL services.

                                   

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Achieves major account sales goals. Plans and executions for major customer sales strategies. Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Education

Bachelor's degree/equivalent.

Minimum Experience

10+ years of experience in transportation, 3PL, or 4PL; LTL experience preferred

Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong business acumen with the ability to read and interpret P&L statements
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships at the executive level
  • Ability to co-develop a FedEx Freight growth strategy in partnership with third-party logistics providers
  •  Deep understanding of the TI/intermediary channel, including broker, forwarder, and 3PL business models
  • Experience managing large, complex accounts with multiple stakeholders and high revenue responsibility
  • Familiarity with LTL pricing structures, including tariffs, spot quotes, and contract negotiations
  • Ability to analyze account-level profitability and identify share-of-wallet opportunities
  •  Strong cross-functional collaboration skills — comfortable working with pricing, operations, legal, and collections
  • Experience with RFP processes and the ability to position FedEx Freight competitively against other LTL carriers
  • Proficiency with CRM tools and data-driven sales reporting
  •  Self-directed with the ability to manage a large territory and prioritize a high-volume account portfolio

JOB CONDITIONS:

  • Ability to travel overnight as required.
