About The Shelf

We are a full-service influencer marketing agency creating meaningful stories, experiences, and content by working with influencers who know how to spread the word about your brand. With our unique, professional, and longstanding influencer marketing expertise, we create the most genuine connections to deliver the results you deserve.

  • We’re a team of more than 80.
  • We’re growing.
  • We’re about as scattered as a team can be… East Coast, West Coast, the middle of the country… a bunch of us are in Canada, 1 in Ukraine, 1 in Russia… we like to keep our options open in terms of company retreat locations.
  • About half of us are really funny.
  • We’re currently working with some pretty amazing brands: Uniqlo, United Parks H&M,, Tailored Brands, Famous Footwear, True Religion, Asana, Lifetime Brands, and Sony just to name a few.

About the role

  • We're looking for an Account Manager to own influencer marketing campaigns end-to-end — from influencer outreach and contract negotiation through content approvals and final reporting. At this level you're the day-to-day engine of your campaigns: mostly independent, running a higher volume of mid-tier programs with a manager available for the trickier calls.
  • We don't micromanage. You'll plan your own days, manage your own deadlines, and bring problems to your manager with a proposed solution attached. Over your first 90 days, manager involvement narrows to only the truly complex or high-level matters.

What you'll do

Campaign Ownership

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of multi-platform influencer campaigns: outreach, negotiation (with rate approvals), contracting, briefing, content review, and reporting
  • Build contracts independently with a working command of basic redlines
  • Write campaign briefs that need no more than two rounds of feedback, with research done before you start
  • Own creation and daily tracking of workback schedules, client facing influencer trackers and internal budget tracking
  • Assemble complete campaign reports and present them, with your manager adding depth on client questions

Client Leadership

  • Own day-to-day client relationships and run all standard weekly client calls with a warm, confident presence
  • Write clear weekly client updates, prep agendas, and send follow-ups with action items  for both client and internal teams
  • Recognize when a client's request isn't the best route — buy time gracefully, build a recommendation with your manager, and bring it back to the client

Independence & Problem Solving

  • Make a daily to-do list and follow up on outstanding items — no external reminders needed
  • Bring your manager problems with solutions attached; troubleshoot with documented processes before escalating
  • Flag fires immediately with 'I'm working through this' and a plan — never a surprise
  • Spot mid-campaign optimization opportunities and propose solutions
  • Ask for help with prioritization before you're overloaded — we do not want silent overtime

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Work directly with Paid Media, Market Insights, Creative, and Client Partner teams to ensure seamless cross-functional collaboration and timely execution
  • Proactively manage timelines, dependencies, and deliverables across teams to keep programs on track, ensure the goals outlined in the SOW are met or exceeded, and consistently communicate the latest client, influencer, and campaign updates to all relevant stakeholders

What Success Looks Like

  • 80% of your inbox is handled within 24 hours and your clients feel consistently informed and supported
  • Your proposed solutions are the right path forward about 60% of the time — and improving
  • Manager check-ins shrink steadily over your first 90 days
  • Deliverables are 80–85% error-free and briefs and reports clear in two rounds of feedback or fewer

Qualifications

  • 4-5+ years of experience in influencer or digital marketing (agency background preferred)
  • Proven experience running influencer campaigns end-to-end across TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube
  • Comfortable leading standard client calls and owning day-to-day client communication
  • Working knowledge of influencer contracts and negotiation fundamentals
  • Strong project management: workbacks, budgets, and multiple simultaneous campaigns
  • Proficiency with influencer management tools (CreatorIQ, Modash, Upfluence, or equivalent)
  • Proficient in AI tools and comfortable applying them daily to streamline research, drafting, and reporting
  • Experienced with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides), Microsoft Word, and project management tools such as Asana

What We Offer

  • Remote-first work environment
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits
  • Flexible time off with inclusive holiday benefits
  • 401(k) matching
  • Collaborative, diverse team culture with meaningful professional development
