As an integral part of our finance team, the Accountant will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. They will be responsible for maintaining and analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and providing insights to support strategic decision-making. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of accounting principles and practices, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a dynamic team environment. Responsibilities
  • Maintain and update financial records and databases accurately and efficiently.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, statements, and budgets, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Conduct regular audits and reviews to identify and address any discrepancies or irregularities.
  • Provide financial advice and support to management, offering insights and recommendations for strategic planning.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial data is accurately reflected in operational processes.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard financial assets and ensure data integrity.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes, and propose improvements to accounting processes.
  • Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure timely submission of all required financial documentation.
  • Liaise with external auditors and provide necessary support during audits and financial examinations.
  • Mentor and guide junior accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 20 years of experience in accounting, with a strong background in the food industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent professional certification is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and tools, including ERP systems and financial analysis software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • A proactive and self-motivated approach to work, with a commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound financial decisions with minimal supervision.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs and a willingness to take on new challenges.
