Workrise is hiring an Intern who will be responsible for assisting Accounting with performing daily tasks. Our ideal candidate for this role will be someone with a great attitude, an effective communicator, strong willingness to learn. At the end of the internship, the individual will be responsible for presenting one of their projects to team leadership.

Internship Details:
Required hybrid work schedule in our downtown Austin office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays
Dates: June 3rd - August 8th
What you'll be doing:

  • Reconcile Cash daily
  • Enter Journal Entries as needed
  • Work closely with Treasury
  • Update/maintain PPE rollforward (Fixed Assets & Software Cap)
  • Learn how to enter FA additions/disposals in NS
  • Run depreciation/amortization monthly
  • Assist in preparing EOM Accruals
  • Assist in preparing EOM Rev Checks
  • Assist in preparing EOM Adjusting Entries
  • Assist with Cutoff Accrual
  • Work directly with Senior Manager on automation initiatives


Experience and Education Requirements:

  • Senior or Bachelors student with a future bachelor's degree in Accounting or a similar field or equivalent professional experience
  • Ability to complete analysis and leverage data in decision-making
  • Knowledge of fundamentals of accounting
  • Experience with Microsoft and G-Suite products namely Excel (or Google Sheets) and Powerpoint (or Google Slides)
  • Strong verbal and written skills


Additional experience preferred, but not required:

  • CPA candidate
  • Netsuite Experience
  • Journal Entry recordation experience


Essential Job Functions:

  • Regular, on-time attendance
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to use office equipment such as a computer, copier and telephone
  • Ability to use office computer programs such as e-mail, Google Docs, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Ability to do Vlookups and Pivot Tables in Excel
  • Occasionally remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods
