Job Description
Title: Accounts Receivable Specialist
FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt
Department: Accounting
Reports to: Senior Staff Accountant
Salary: $60,000-65,000 + bonus
Date: 7/2025
Job Summary:
The AR Specialist will be responsible for creating and sending invoices, processing payments, reconciling accounts, collections of overdue accounts, working with distributors when discrepancies occur, in addition to working with other departments within BeatBox to ensure accuracy of pricing and accuracy of product shipped from our warehouses to distributors.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities but is subject to change.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Invoicing: Generating and distributing invoices to customers.
- Payment Processing: Recording and reconciling payments received, including checks and electronic transfers.
- Account Reconciliation: Ensuring accuracy of customer accounts by identifying and resolving discrepancies.
- Collections: Following up on overdue accounts, contacting customers to arrange payment, and negotiating payment plans.
- Record Keeping: Maintaining detailed and accurate records of all accounts receivable transactions.
- Reporting: Preparing reports on accounts receivable status, including aging reports and summaries.
- Customer Service: Addressing customer inquiries and resolving billing disputes.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced environment and at times stressful environments.
- Experience with Business Central; but not a must
- Experience with alcohol sales and working with distributors; but not a must
Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3+ years related experience required.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
