At Macmillan Learning, we are passionate about creating great learning tools and resources for students. We are looking for an Administrative Coordinator, Social Science & Business Strategy Team (Contractor) to work 20 hours per week with our Strategy Team, which includes Program Directors and Program Managers responsible for setting the strategy across our Economics, Psychology, and Business portfolios.

The Administrative Coordinator provides essential administrative, operational, and research support to the Social Science & Business Strategy Team. This role plays a key part in supporting early-stage product strategy work by helping coordinate project pipeline activities, conduct and synthesize market research, and manage documentation across multiple systems.
This position regularly collaborates with cross-functional partners including Product, Sales, Finance, Legal, Marketing, and Learning Resources, as well as external stakeholders such as instructors, students, vendors, and research participants.
The role involves a mix of administrative coordination and analytical support, including market research aggregation, survey deployment, competitive tracking, and maintaining accurate project documentation. By supporting both operational workflows and research activities, this role helps ensure efficient project evaluation and smooth day-to-day team operations. This is a 6-month contract position and will be reviewed for possible extension based on business needs.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Communicating proactively across teams to gather information, answer questions, and resolve issues.
  • Maintaining and updating project pipeline documentation across internal systems.
  • Consolidating information from multiple sources into centralized tracking tools and spreadsheets.
  • Preparing and updating reports, logs, and documentation to support project evaluation.
  • Supporting pre-project activities, including market research, surveys, and pilot programs.
  • Recruiting and coordinating instructors, students, and other participants for research and reviews.
  • Tracking participation and feedback, and summarizing key insights from research activities.
  • Creating and deploying surveys and monitoring response data.
  • Running reports from systems such as Salesforce or dashboards to support market analysis.
  • Assisting with market development efforts, including compiling internal and external research.
  • Assisting in the preparation of competitive research, including pricing and product comparisons.
  • Coding and processing invoices and coordinating payments for vendors and research participants.
  • Creating Jira tickets to support project tracking and workflows.
  • Performing other administrative and operational tasks as needed to support the team.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Strong data organization and analytical skills.
  • Experience working with multiple data systems (Salesforce, dashboards, spreadsheets).
  • Ability to synthesize research from multiple sources.
  • Strong documentation and project coordination skills.
  • Attention to detail and process management.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally across teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in higher education publishing or edtech.
  • Familiarity with market research or competitive analysis.

Pay Rate: $27/ hour.

Hours: 20 hours per week, with some weeks being more than 20 hours.

Assignment Duration: May 15, 2026 – Nov 15, 2026 (with possibility of extension).

Location: Remote USA
