Advisor, Data Engineering

What you’ll achieve:

You will be responsible for understanding the data needs of the Services business and building solutions that support strategic initiatives, enabling reporting, forecasting, and executive decision-making.

You will:

  • Engage with stakeholders to understand and translate data requirements into technical solutions.

  • Build, maintain, and optimize structured and unstructured data pipelines and tables.

  • Work with large datasets from systems such as Salesforce, Teradata, and Data Lake.

  • Develop data products for dashboards, scorecards, and executive-level reporting.

  • Collaborate with data science and IT teams to ensure data quality, governance, and scalability.

Essential Requirements

  • Proficiency in SQL and Python.

  • Experience with data environments such as Teradata, Data Lake, and Salesforce CRM.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, executive-driven environment with shifting priorities.

  • Experience handling structured and unstructured data (e.g., text, telemetry).

  • Availability to work on-site 5 days per week in Round Rock, TX or Hopkinton, MA.

Desirable Requirements

  • Knowledge of Apache Spark for large-scale data processing.

  • Familiarity with visualization and reporting tools (e.g., PowerBI, SSRS, Airflow).

Compensation

Dell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this position is $121,800 – $158,750.
