About the Role
We are seeking an Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) Architect to serve as a strategic leader within our consultancy and a trusted advisor to our enterprise clients. This role is responsible for defining, designing, and governing end-to-end AEP architectures — including Real-Time CDP, Customer Journey Analytics, Adobe Journey Optimizer, data governance, identity, and integrations.
As a senior member of our Experience Architecture practice, you will guide multi-disciplinary teams (data engineering, analytics, MarTech, QA, developers) and partner directly with client stakeholders across marketing, IT, product, and data governance. You will help uncover business needs, translate use cases into technical blueprints, and ensure successful delivery across complex, multi-phase implementations.
This is a client-facing leadership role that requires deep technical expertise, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to provide thought leadership across multiple accounts.
Key Responsibilities
Architecture Leadership
  • Define target-state AEP architectures including RTCDP, WebSDK/Edge, streaming & batch ingestion, identity strategy, profile stitching, data governance, and activation patterns.
  • Lead architecture blueprinting, data models (XDM), identity resolution approaches, and governance frameworks.
  • Ensure architecture decisions align with client goals, scalability requirements, and enterprise data strategies.

Client Advisory & Consulting
  • Serve as the primary AEP technical advisor for assigned client engagements.
  • Translate marketing and business requirements into scalable, compliant AEP implementations.
  • Provide recommendations on roadmap, sequencing, prioritization, and best practices.

Solution Design & Delivery Oversight
  • Design schemas, datasets, identity graphs, stitching rules, namespaces, computed attributes, and governance rules.
  • Collaborate closely with Data Engineers, Analysts, Developers, and QA to ensure high-quality delivery.
  • Review and validate technical work across teams, ensuring alignment with Adobe best practices and client constraints.

MarTech & Data Integration
  • Architect and oversee integrations with upstream and downstream systems including:
    • WebSDK, Mobile SDK, POS/CRM/MDM, ESPs, Snowflake, Data Distiller, API/ETL pipelines, advertising destinations, and real-time personalization engines.
  • Ensure secure, scalable data movement, monitoring, and system performance.

Governance & Quality
  • Establish standards for instrumentation, tagging, identity hygiene, schema governance, and profile integrity.
  • Define frameworks for data quality, profile count control, PII and consent governance, and data minimization.

Thought Leadership & Enablement
  • Provide internal leadership by mentoring architects, consultants, and client teams.
  • Stay ahead of Adobe roadmap releases and continuously evolve our delivery methodologies.
  • Support pre-sales by shaping AEP solutions, estimates, and technical narratives for prospective clients.
Qualifications
Required
  • 5–10+ years in enterprise data, MarTech, or digital architecture roles.
  • 3+ years hands-on Adobe Experience Platform expertise, including RTCDP and one or more of:
    • Journey Optimizer (AJO)
    • Customer Journey Analytics (CJA)
    • Data Collection / Web SDK
    • Data Distiller & Query Service
  • Strong understanding of identity resolution, profile stitching, and enterprise data modeling.
  • Experience leading cross-functional technical teams and interfacing with client executives.
  • Ability to translate complex architectures into clear, actionable recommendations.

Preferred
  • Adobe certifications (AEP Architect, RTCDP Technical Practitioner, etc.).
  • Experience with Snowflake, Databricks, MDM platforms, ETL tools, CDPs, or ESPs.
  • Prior consultancy experience leading multi-client engagements.
  • Understanding of compliance frameworks (HIPAA, GDPR, CCPA) and data governance principles.
