As an Enterprise Architect - AI, you will play a critical role in defining and executing the architectural vision for AI-enabled applications and platforms. Your expertise will guide technical decision-making and help to establish a cohesive and consistent approach to AI integration within the enterprise.
Responsibilities:
- Define enterprise architecture patterns and standards for AI- and LLM-enabled applications, platforms, and workflows.
- Lead technical design and architecture decisions for AI integration across products, engineering platforms, and automation capabilities.
- Establish practical guardrails for security, data use, trust boundaries, governance, observability, reliability, and operational support.
- Guide architecture choices for retrieval-augmented generation, orchestration, tool use, workflow automation, structured outputs, evaluation, and fallback strategies.
- Partner with engineering, platform, security, infrastructure, and data teams to drive consistent enterprise approaches.
- Influence technical prioritization and decision-making for AI-related initiatives across multiple teams and stakeholders.
- Reduce fragmented one-off implementations by defining reusable standards, reference patterns, and implementation guidance.
- Assess emerging AI technologies and recommend where they fit within the enterprise architecture based on value, risk, and business fit.
- Scale adoption by helping teams move from experimentation to production-ready implementation.
- Mentor architects and senior engineers in AI-native design, systems thinking, and sound technical judgment.
- Complete all assigned, mandatory training within the timeframe provided.
- Conduct and/or participate in regularly scheduled 1:1 meetings with your direct manager and/or direct reports.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering, architecture, platform engineering, or related technical fields.
- 5+ years in a senior architecture, principal engineering, or enterprise technical leadership role.
- Experience designing and guiding complex systems across applications, APIs, cloud platforms, integrations, and operational environments.
- Experience working with AI/LLM technologies as part of enterprise solution design, platform design, or engineering architecture.
- Strong software engineering foundation with hands-on development experience building or integrating distributed applications, APIs, services, or platforms using languages such as Java, C#, Python, Go, or similar.
- Experience prototyping or validating AI/LLM-enabled solution patterns through code, automation, or reference implementations.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly across global engineering and business stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with RAG, vector search, model gateways, evaluation frameworks, prompt lifecycle management, or agent/workflow orchestration.
- Experience designing secure AI-enabled systems in enterprise or regulated environments.
- Experience leading architecture governance, design reviews, or enterprise technical standards.
- Experience influencing large engineering organizations without direct authority.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP in large-scale environments.
