 Job Profile Title:     AI Principal Program Manager

Location/ Division Specific Information:  Austin, TX/  P06/ General Project Management

How will you make an impact? 

The Principal Program Manager is a senior position in Project Management responsible for running large AI complex programs, including contingency planning and issue resolution. Ensures that all programs / projects follow standard procedures and governance used in the management and deployment of programs. Contributes to and demonstrates a solid understanding of program vision and roadmap. Maintain awareness of cross product/program synergies and actively communicates opportunities to simplify or better align work across teams.

 

What will you do?  

  • Champion Enterprise AI Strategy: Build trusted relationships with executive leaders across Engineering, Product, and Business Units to align AI initiatives with corporate priorities and growth objectives.

  • Drive Business-Led Transformation: Keep diverse teams focused on high-impact outcomes that enable scalable AI adoption and deliver tangible ROI.

  • Lead Complex Program Execution: Oversee multi-year, multi-team programs from concept to enterprise rollout, ensuring delivery excellence, risk mitigation, and adherence to timelines and budgets.

  • Resolve Strategic Barriers: Identify systemic challenges—such as data readiness, integration complexity, and organizational resistance—and drive solutions that maintain momentum.

  • Govern Risk and Change Management: Anticipate adoption hurdles, manage trade-offs, and implement change strategies to secure stakeholder confidence and accelerate deployment.

  • Ensure Ethical and Scalable AI: Apply sound judgment to align technical decisions with business strategy, compliance, and responsible AI principles.

  • Influence at the Executive Level: Communicate program vision, progress, and impact to senior leadership, enabling informed decisions and enterprise alignment.

How will you get here? 

 

Education:   

  • Bachelor’s degree is required

 

Experience:

  • 15+ years of industry experience, including 10+ years in program or portfolio leadership roles driving large-scale technology or AI initiatives is required

 

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:  

  • Proven ability to lead enterprise-scale digital transformations, ideally involving AI, cloud, or advanced analytics.

  • Expertise in program governance, financial management, and executive stakeholder engagement.

  • Strong understanding of AI concepts and emerging technologies; ability to translate technical capabilities into business outcomes.

  • Exceptional communication and influencing skills across global, matrixed organizations·        

  • Executive Presence: Ability to influence and gain buy-in from senior leadership and board-level stakeholders.

  • Strategic Thinking: Skilled at connecting AI capabilities to business growth, competitive advantage, and long-term enterprise strategy.

  • Change Leadership: Proven success in driving cultural and operational change during large-scale digital transformations.

  • Cross-Functional Orchestration: Expertise in aligning diverse teams across engineering, product, and business units toward common goals.

  • Decision-Making Under Ambiguity: Comfortable making high-stakes decisions with incomplete information in fast-evolving technology landscapes.

  • Communication Excellence: Ability to distill complex technical concepts into clear, compelling narratives for executive audiences

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Business is preferred

  • PMP or equivalent certification preferred, Agile experience a plus
