Job Description

The Business Intelligence Analyst will support the delivery of data analysis, reporting, and analytical solutions for teams focused on operations and solutions in high-volume payment environments. In this role, you will develop and maintain dashboards, visualizations, and reporting that improve business visibility, operational effectiveness, and data-driven decision-making for internal stakeholders and clients.

This is an individual contributor role responsible for helping align analytics, operational processes, and business objectives. You will support the definition and tracking of key performance indicators, troubleshoot complex data quality and reporting issues, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency through automation and AI-enabled tools. You will also help translate business needs into scalable reporting and analytical solutions that drive better operational outcomes.

Working closely with data engineers, business stakeholders, and end users, you will help ensure the integrity of data feeds, promote sound data quality and reporting practices, and deliver insights that support operational performance in a fast-paced payments environment. The ideal candidate brings experience in the payments industry, familiarity with operational metrics and reporting practices used in high-volume online transaction environments, and a strong analytical mindset. Knowledge of Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS) is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)

 

Preferred Qualification:

  • 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
  • Experience in business intelligence, data analytics, reporting, or a related field
  • Experience with Tableau, Power BI, MicroStrategy, or similar business intelligence and visualization tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience working across complex datasets
  • Experience supporting reporting, dashboarding, and KPI-based analysis
  • Experience leveraging automation and AI-enabled tools to improve efficiency, reduce manual processes, and support operational decision-making
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
  • Experience in the payments industry, including high-volume online transaction environments; knowledge of PCI DSS strongly preferred
  • Experience gathering requirements, understanding business problems, and translating them into analytical or reporting solutions
  • Experience with data profiling, data conversion, solution implementation, sensitive data handling, and troubleshooting
  • Experience identifying and implementing scalable automation solutions for recurring analytics or reporting processes
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled analytics tools and workflow solutions
  • Familiarity with Hadoop, Hive, Impala, or similar big data environments
  • Familiarity with statistical modeling or data mining techniques
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a defined workstream or small project independently
  • Team-oriented, collaborative, diplomatic, and flexible approach
  • Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and commitment to continuous learning

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for this position is 110,700.00 to 171,800.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
