1. Sourcing and investment screening
a. Review industry news daily and enter new investments into proprietary database
b. Own database management, including generation of team's pipeline and forward calendar
c. Perform industry and strategy market mapping
d. Attend prospective manager meetings and calls. Generate meeting notes and quick screen evaluations
e. Present investment evaluation findings in weekly team meetings
f. Attend industry conferences
2. Diligence support
a. Support deal team in assessment of investment opportunities
b. Support senior investment professionals in diligence documentation
c. Attend investment committee meetings and own documentation of commitments and approvals
d. Opportunity to increasingly lead aspects of investment diligence, including creation/drafting of investment memos and quantitative analysis
3. Performance reporting and portfolio monitoring
a. Complete post-closing documentation for new investments
b. Monitor investments on a regular basis, capturing relevant data
c. Track capital call and distribution activity and forecasts
d. Monitor investment performance and track AGM and LPAC participation
4. Marketing and client service support
a. Support marketing and other various requests from existing and prospective
investors
b. Support client service in development of existing and prospective investor communications
5. Organization
a. Support special project work as needed
b. Collaborate with other Apogem investment teams to develop best practices and share diligence findings
c. Integrate AI into workflows
Candidate Profile
1. Four-year college degree; preference for majors in finance, economics, business, or accounting
2. 1+ year of full-time experience in investment banking, investment management, or a similar industry role
3. Demonstrated interest in and intellectual curiosity about the investment management
industry
4. Strong work ethic
5. Mastery of Excel, PowerPoint, and AI tools
6. Ability to gather, organize, and analyze data effectively
7. Attention to detail
8. Strong written and oral communication skills
9. Demonstrated resourcefulness and ability to take initiative
10. Strong problem-solving and organizational skills; must be able to prioritize, but also multi-task
11. Ability to work in a team-oriented culture and maintain open communication with team members
Pay Transparency
Salary range: 80,000
Overtime eligible: Exempt
Discretionary bonus eligible: No
Sales bonus eligible: No
Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual's experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
