Role Summary / Purpose

The Manager, Product Analytics is responsible for leading a hybrid team of Product Analysts and Data Scientists to deliver a predictable, high-impact analytics program across the product portfolio. This role exists to turn strategy into execution—prioritizing the roadmap, establishing best practices for experimentation and reproducibility, building trusted data foundations and governance with Engineering, and scaling BI for decision enablement—while serving as the primary analytics partner to Product teams by translating complex analyses and models into clear, executive-ready narratives that shape the roadmap and drive business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a hybrid team of Product Analysts and Data Scientists; set clear goals, provide ongoing feedback, and manage performance and career progression.
  • Translate the analytics roadmap into a prioritized backlog; allocate resources, define timelines, and ensure predictable delivery across strategic initiatives and ad-hoc requests.
  • Establish and steward analytics best practices; own the experimentation program (A/B testing), and set standards for documentation, code review, and reproducibility.
  • Build and maintain trusted data foundations by partnering with Engineering to define metrics, instrumentation, and governance; ensure data quality, reliability, and compliant access.
  • Drive BI and decision enablement; deliver scalable dashboards and executive-ready readouts that clarify trade-offs and inform product and business decisions.
  • Serve as the primary analytics partner to Product teams; synthesize complex analyses and models into clear, actionable narratives that shape the roadmap.
  • Perform other related duties as needed to support team and company priorities.

Qualifications
Required:

  • 5+ years of experience in product analytics, data science, BI development, or a similar data-focused role.
  • 2+ years of hands-on management experience in a people management or a formal technical lead role, with a demonstrated passion for mentoring and developing high-performing teams.
  • Advanced analytics tooling: Expert SQL (window functions, performance tuning) on modern cloud warehouses (Redshift/Snowflake/BigQuery) and proven delivery of production-grade dashboards in BI platforms (QuickSight/Tableau/Looker/Power BI).
  • Programming & analysis: Proficiency in Python (e.g., pandas) or R for data wrangling, statistical analysis, and reproducible workflows.
Experimentation & modeling: Strong experience with A/B testing design and evaluation, plus working knowledge of common modeling techniques (e.g., regression, clustering, forecasting).
  • Business impact & storytelling: Demonstrated ability to frame ambiguous problems, translate insights into product strategy and user outcomes, and communicate clearly to both technical stakeholders and executives.
  • People-first leadership: empathetic, low-ego, high-EQ mentor who measures success by the growth and impact of the team.

Preferred:

  • Advanced degrees or certifications in machine learning or data science are a plus.
  • Specialized skills or knowledge within the B2B SaaS or Hospitality technology industry.
  • Curious and impact-oriented: digs into data to find root causes, challenges assumptions, and continually asks the next question.
  • Pragmatic operator: context-switches fluidly (strategy, 1:1s, query tuning) and plans/prioritizes to deliver across multiple projects in a fast-moving environment.
