Responsibilities
- Provide direct engineering support for Cirrus Logic customers and field personnel
- Develop reference designs and demonstration platforms
- Develop application notes, white papers, demo-board, and reference-design manuals
- Implement customer-application focused data collection and circuit analysis
- Debug analog and digital silicon issues
- Collaborate and communicate closely with tier 1 customers, marketing and internal engineering teams to understand requirements and use cases and contribute to next-generation product definition
- Autonomously manage tasks and priorities, including communicating project status cross functionally
- Travel approximately 2 weeks per year, domestically and abroad
Required Skills and Qualifications
- BSEE with 7+ years of experience in the semiconductor industry (or MSEE with 5+ years of experience)
- Experience with integrated DC-to-DC switching buck and/or boost converters, battery chargers and mixed-signal circuits for portable or power electronic products
- Demonstrated aptitude in system understanding of various industry interface standards such as I2C, SPI, USB, UART, I2S, SPMI
- Experience in component selection, schematic entry and knowledge of PCB layout design
- Experience with scripting or programming languages such as MATLAB, LabVIEW, Python or similar
- Experience with embedded C/C++ programming a plus
- Extensive hands-on experience in lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, audio analyzers, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers
- Self-motivated with excellent problem solving skills and attention to detail are highly valued as you will need to understand silicon, board and software interactions
- Highly dynamic, energetic and driven personality with excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work across functional groups and organization
