About Linkt

Linkt is an AI deployment company based in Austin. We embed senior engineers directly inside client organizations — from PE-backed platforms to national enterprise brands — to build and ship production AI systems, not slide decks.

The role

Sitting with stakeholders to scope the real problem, architecting the system, building it, integrating it with messy enterprise infrastructure, deploying it to production, and iterating until it delivers. You are the technical face of Linkt to the client — engineer, consultant, and product owner in one.

What you'll do
  • Design and ship LLM-powered systems in production: agents, retrieval pipelines, workflow automation, voice agents, and evaluation infrastructure

  • Embed with client teams — running working sessions with everyone from executives to staff engineers, translating business problems into shippable systems

  • Integrate with real enterprise stacks: CRMs, ERPs, data warehouses, legacy APIs, and everything in between

  • Harden prototypes into production systems with evals, observability, guardrails, and monitoring

  • Own delivery: timelines, demos, client communication, and outcomes

  • Feed what you learn back into Linkt's internal platform, playbooks, and tooling

What we're looking for
  • 2+ years shipping production software — we care about evidence of shipping, not pedigree

  • Hands-on experience building with LLMs: API integrations, agent frameworks, RAG, prompt and eval design

  • Strong Python and/or TypeScript

  • Comfort with ambiguity — you can walk into an undefined problem and leave with a scoped plan

  • Communication skills good enough to run a client meeting solo

  • Based in Austin or willing to relocate

Nice to have
  • Prior consulting, agency, or forward-deployed experience

  • Voice agent work: telephony, streaming, real-time systems

  • Enterprise integration experience (Salesforce, NetSuite, Snowflake, etc.)

  • Things we can look at — open source, side projects, demos

Why this role
  • Small senior team, zero bureaucracy — your work ships and clients see it immediately

  • Direct trajectory to leading accounts and owning client relationships

  • A seat at the center of Austin's AI scene through Hack AI

  • Real upside as we scale — you're joining early

Compensation & benefits
  • Base: $100k-$200k depending on experience

  • 0.5% equity

Process

Intro call → technical deep-dive on something you've built → working session with the founders → offer. We move in about two weeks.

Linkt is an equal opportunity employer. We evaluate candidates on ability and evidence of shipping, regardless of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.

Austin’s tech scene spans many verticals, but it’s particularly known for hardware, including semiconductors, as well as AI, biotechnology and cloud computing. And its food and music scene, low taxes and favorable climate has made the city a destination for tech workers from across the country.

Key Facts About Austin Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 180,500; 13.7% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Dell, IBM, AMD, Apple, Alphabet
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, hardware, cloud computing, software, healthtech
  • Funding Landscape: $4.5 billion in VC funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Live Oak Ventures, Austin Ventures, Hinge Capital, Gigafund, KdT Ventures, Next Coast Ventures, Silverton Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Texas, Southwestern University, Texas State University, Center for Complex Quantum Systems, Oden Institute for Computational Engineering and Sciences, Texas Advanced Computing Center
