 We are looking for an Assistant Account Executive to support one of our clients that is helping solve some of the most complex challenges in automation and critical infrastructure. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team and drive highly impactful communications for one of the world’s most innovative companies.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring and flagging coverage across client, competitor, and industry news; also includes developing client-facing coverage reports
  • Conducting background research, compiling, and analyzing media or competitor coverage
  • Providing client service and cross-team support by attending meetings, preparing agendas and recaps, handling scheduling and logistics, preparing client status and activity reports
  • Developing briefing materials, including schedules, messaging, and reporter background to support media interviews
  • Researching, outlining, writing, editing, and proofreading press materials, specifically press releases, media pitches, interview briefs, fact sheets, client correspondence and other materials
  • Demonstrating an understanding of research techniques, including analysis of media coverage and online conversation (volume and tone), and identification and categorization of various stakeholders, including organizations and individuals to be engaged by clients
  • Engaging with media including developing relationships with reporters and influencers on behalf of the client 
  • ·Understanding key client information including business strategy, industry issues, products and services, key customers, and competitors

Basic Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • This is an entry-level position. Candidates should demonstrate an interest in and understanding of the communications industry and the basic principles of integrated communications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of tech industry landscape and top tech journalists, outlets, influencers
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and written and oral communication skills 
  • A team player – collaborative and participatory with a diverse cross-section of stakeholders and clients
  • Ability to adapt to new conditions, deadlines, and assignments  
  • Ability to use social media platforms for story mining and industry trendspotting
  • Demonstrates reliability, initiative, and a focus on excellence in client and team deliverables
  • Pragmatic attitude with problem-solving capabilities and the confidence to proactively share your ideas
  • Solid knowledge of the MS Office suite

An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs.
