Job Description

  • Manage end-to-end financial accounting for Thailand which includes performing month-end accounting closing, including but not limited to journal adjustments, bank reconciliations, intercompany reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliation schedules, revenue recognition reports.
  • Preparation and submission of monthly management accounts (P&L and Balance Sheet) and related schedules as a part of Group reporting. Presentation of results and providing clarifications to the Country/Regional business Leaders, as and when needed.
  • Monitor and report on accounting discrepancies. Implement controls to detect and correct errors promptly, ensuring the accuracy of financial data. Develop and implement robust financial policies and procedures to enhance the financial integrity and operational efficiency of the organization.
  • Manage intercompany transactions, ensuring accurate recording and reconciliation of intercompany accounts. Coordinate with other departments to resolve discrepancies and ensure consistency.
  • Responsible for filing sales tax returns (GST/SST/VAT/WHT). Working closely with the tax advisors to finalize tax computations and filing necessary tax returns.
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with tax and financial reporting standards. Stay updated on changes in regulations and ensure the company’s practices are aligned.
  • Interact with External Auditors for interim and annual audit – provide information and schedules for audit, drive efficiencies from the finance service provider and external auditors, and provide explanations to ensure smooth and timely audits.
  • Review invoices and expenses processed by our offshore services team, and ensuring accounting is accurate and acceptable. Initiate vendor payments through internet banking.
  • Support the preparation of cash flow statements on weekly basis and driving related strategies from senior management.
  • Support the payroll process, ensuring accurate and timely payment of salaries and benefits. Ensure compliance with local labor laws and tax regulations with close alignment with HR team.
  • To become our finance systems champion and a finance subject matter expert to our business teams in SEA. Perform any other finance tasks as assigned from time to time by the Financial Controller.

Qualifications

  • At least 8 years of prior experience working in finance role.
  • CPA / ACCA or any equivalent professional qualification.
  • Experience with SOX controls and Dynamics 365 is preferred.
  • Experienced working in a dynamic, fast-paced, matrix organizational structure.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Fluent in English and Thai language (both spoken and written).
  • Excellent oral and written communications and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to learn and grow further in the role.
  • Resilient and strong tenacity in handling challenging situations and timelines.
  • Eagerness to get hands on and get in details, with an eye always on being efficient.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Show enthusiasm in learning, driving continuous improvements in the role.
