About the Role 

PURE Insurance is seeking a motivated Associate Data Analyst to support our data modernization efforts and help build reliable, well-structured datasets used across the company. This role is ideal for early-career analysts interested in developing strong SQL skills, learning dbt fundamentals, and working with modern data tools like Databricks. You will collaborate with analysts, analytics engineers, and business stakeholders to help prepare, validate, and document datasets that power analytics and reporting.

What You’ll Do 

  • Write SQL and contribute to dbt tasks, including model updates, tests, and documentation. 

  • Perform exploratory analysis to identify patterns, answer business questions, and support decision-making. 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners (Sales, Product, Claims, etc.) to understand data and analysis needs. 

  • Document data definitions, processes, and findings to support transparency and reproducibility. 

  • Build reports, dashboards, and other analytical outputs using Python and BI tools such as Hex. 

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or a related field. 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. 

  • Familiarity with SQL and data visualization tools (coursework or internship experience is a plus). 

  • Clear communicator with a willingness to learn and collaborate. 

  • Curiosity, initiative, and a passion for working with data. 

The base salary for this role can range from $70,000 to $85,000 based on a full-time work schedule. An individual’s ultimate compensation will vary depending on job-related skills and experience, geographic location, alignment with market data, and equity among other team members with comparable experience
