Job Summary

The Associate Product Manager supports the Product Manager, Enterprise Data in defining, building, and improving data products that power reporting, analytics, and operational decision making across the organization. This role blends product ownership, business analysis, and cross-functional coordination, ensuring that strategic initiatives are translated into clear, actionable work for engineering teams.

The Associate Product Manager contributes to backlog creation, user story development, refinement sessions, iteration planning, user acceptance testing, and ongoing product health monitoring. This is an ideal role for someone with strong analytical skills, a passion for data, and interest in growing into a full product management career path.

Product Ownership

  • Break strategic initiatives into epics, features, and user stories with clear acceptance criteria.

  • Maintain and groom backlogs and prepare items for engineering sprints.

  • Participate in refinement, sprint planning, reviews, and UAT.

  • Validate completed work to ensure it meets requirements.

Requirements and Stakeholder Support

  • Work with business partners to gather detailed requirements and document workflows.

  • Support workshops, discovery sessions, and communication with stakeholders.

  • Provide clear updates on progress and changes throughout the product lifecycle.

Technical and Data Support

  • Build working knowledge of data systems, models, and ETL or ELT workflows.

  • Write simple SQL queries or analyze sample data to support validation.

  • Assist with wireframes, mock reports, or conceptual diagrams.

Product Performance and Documentation

  • Help define and track product success metrics.

  • Monitor user feedback, adoption, and data quality to identify improvements.

  • Create release notes, guides, and user documentation.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.

  • 1 or more years in product, business analysis, data engineering, data analytics, or software development preferred.

  • Experience in Data and Analytics or Agile practices is a plus.

Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to write clear user stories and acceptance criteria.

  • Curiosity and willingness to learn technical concepts quickly.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

  • Ability to stay organized and manage multiple priorities.

Salary RangeThe salary range for this position is: $73,440.00 - $127,296.00, plus individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and applicable employment laws.
