We are seeking an Associate Director, Business Operations to oversee and enhance operational workflows across our Data & Digital Media teams while leading the implementation of an AI / Automation Community.

This role is a critical business operations leadership position, ensuring that automation, tooling, and resource management strategies are aligned with financial objectives and operational excellence. You will collaborate with leadership, operations teams, and subject matter experts (SMEs) to enhance workflow efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and team performance across the organization.

Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Efficiency & Resource Management
  • Catalog, provide recommendations, and update best practices on resource planning and allocation, ensuring optimal efficiency across media and data operations.
  • Optimize operational workflows by identifying inefficiencies and implementing automation solutions and process improvements.
  • Collaborate with finance, FP&A, and business leads to align staffing and operational costs with revenue targets.
  • Develop and implement workforce and capacity management strategies, ensuring teams have the right tools and resources for success.
  • Establish KPIs for operational performance, tracking efficiency improvements and business impact.
Digital Transformation & Process Optimization
  • Lead tooling strategy and implementation, ensuring seamless integration of AI, automation, and enterprise platforms into operations.
  • Manage vendor relationships and evaluate technologies that drive media and data process optimization.
  • Partner with technology teams to ensure governance, scalability, and usability of automation solutions.
  • Bridge business and technical needs, ensuring automation investments align with business goals.
  • Drive change management and adoption strategies, ensuring teams effectively use new tools and automation solutions.
  • Develop internal dashboarding to allow for company-wide use of business analytics to inform strategy and decision-making
Community & Knowledge Sharing
  • Launch and lead the AI / Automation Community, fostering collaboration and knowledge-sharing in process and operations improvement.
  • Identify and onboard AI/Automation Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) within Data & Media teams to drive AI adoption.
  • Establish and maintain a centralized knowledge base in Operational Strategy, Cross-Functional process improvements, and organizational change management; ensuring access to case studies, tools, and best practices.
  • Maintain a two-way communication strategy, ensuring feedback loops between global operations and individual teams.

 

Strategic Leadership & Business Alignment
  • Serve as a key business operations leader, ensuring alignment between automation, resource planning, and financial strategy.
  • Work closely with senior leadership to develop operational roadmaps that enhance efficiency and drive business growth.
  • Partner with finance and operations teams to optimize cost structures and improve financial efficiency.
  • Provide insights into staffing models, time tracking, revenue forecasting, and operational bottlenecks, ensuring data-driven decision-making.
  • Lead initiatives that integrate AI and automation with core business operations, ensuring measurable impact.
What You Bring
  • 7+ years of experience in business operations, resource management, or process optimization within a media agency, data organization, or professional services firm.
  • Proven ability to optimize operational efficiencies, including staffing models, tooling strategies, and automation solutions.
  • Strong understanding of business financials, including P&L management, resource allocation, and cost efficiency strategies.
  • Experience in evaluating, implementing, and managing automation tools to improve operational performance.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to align leadership, operations teams, and technical resources.
  • A data-driven mindset, capable of identifying performance gaps, process inefficiencies, and strategic growth opportunities.

Monks has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what Monks may pay for the position at the time of posting. Monks may ultimately pay more or less than the posted compensation range. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on job-related factors, but not based on a candidate’s sex or any other protected status.
