Role Summary

As an Associate Product Manager, you will play a hands-on role in shaping the feature-level execution of our AI tools and platform initiatives. Working closely with Senior PMs, Engineering, UX Design, and Customer Success, you will turn legal workflows, real-time AI transcription, and automated matter intelligence into practical, user-friendly product features.

Responsibilities:

  • Feature Execution & Requirements: Write clear, actionable user stories, business rules, and acceptance criteria to bring AI-driven feature enhancements to life.

  • LOIS & Depositions Focus: Help execute functional requirements for LOIS-powered capabilities (such as automated deposition summaries, goal tracking, real-time AI analysis, and context-driven workflows).

  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Partner day-to-day with engineering and UX designers to transform customer needs into intuitive, well-designed software solutions.

  • Backlog Grooming & Slicing: Work iteratively with dev teams using Agile practices—slicing user stories into incremental deliverables, helping anticipate bottlenecks, and maintaining an organized sprint backlog.

  • Customer Research & Insights: Participate in customer calls, review feedback, and analyze product usage metrics to identify user pain points and inform feature-level decisions.

  • Quality & Acceptance Testing: Assist with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) alongside QA and engineers to ensure features meet quality standards before reaching customers.

  • Go-To-Market & Enablement Support: Collaborate with Product Marketing and Customer Success to help build release notes, internal feature documentation, user guides, and training materials.

  • Product Advocacy: Act as an internal subject matter expert for your assigned feature set, keeping internal teams updated on upcoming releases and functional changes.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 3–5 years of experience in software product management, APM roles, or closely related positions (e.g., Business Analyst, Product Owner, Implementation Specialist) in SaaS.

  • Education: B.S. or M.S. in business, computer science, information systems, engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

  • Domain Interest: Interest in legal tech, generative AI, or complex workflow automation (prior experience in Legal Tech, Depositions, or AI products is a bonus, but not required).

  • Agile/SDLC Proficiency: Solid working knowledge of Agile/Scrum software development lifecycles and modern backlog management tools (e.g., Jira).

  • Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Comfort working with user feedback and basic quantitative data to prioritize work and solve complex logic problems.

  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on translating business needs into clear technical documentation.

  • Travel: Ability to travel periodically for team alignment at Salt Lake City HQ, customer visits, or legal tech conferences.
