About the Role:

Join our innovative team as an Associate Product Software Engineer, where you'll have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies to develop, debug, and enhance software programs. Your role will be instrumental in improving the functionality and performance of our software products, contributing to the overall success and satisfaction of our users.

 Hybrid: Eight days a month we come together in the closest office (Wichita, KS and TX-Coppell) within 50 miles to experience the value of connecting with colleagues. You will report to the Manager, Product Software Engineering, and work under the leadership of the Director, Product Software Engineering. Required Job Qualifications (1yrs minimum Automation Testing):  

  • Advanced Technology Adoption and Utilization: AI Tool Proficiency: Use AI tools for basic coding, debugging, and documentation tasks; AI Output Validation: Review and verify AI-generated code for accuracy and basic functionality; Responsible AI Usage: Follow organizational AI guidelines and ethical practices; and Basic Agent Usage: Use AI agents for routine development tasks and code generation.

  • Programming: The ability to design, write, test, debug, and maintain the instructions, also known as code, that a computer must follow to execute a task. This skill often involves various programming languages such as Python or C#

  • Software Engineering: The ability to design, develop, and maintain software systems and applications by applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.   • Software Development: The ability to design, write, test, and implement software programs, applications, and systems. This includes understanding various programming languages, software architecture, and software testing methods.

  • Problem Solving: The ability to understand a complex situation or issue and devise a solution by defining the problem, identifying potential strategies, and ultimately choosing and implementing the most effective course of action.

  • Analysis: The ability to examine complex situations or problems, break them down into smaller parts, and understand how these parts work together.

  • Testing: The skill of evaluating a system or process, often in software or product development. It involves the ability to identify problems, measure effectiveness, and ensure quality or functionality.

  • Agile: The ability to swiftly and effectively respond to changes, with an emphasis on continuous improvement and flexibility.

  • Source Code Repository: The ability to effectively use a source code repository to manage and track changes to code, identify and fix issues, and collaborate with other developers.

  • Relational Database: The ability to design, implement, and manipulate a relational database. This skill often requires proficiency in SQL and an understanding of database design principles.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Software Development: Assist in developing and maintaining software applications under the guidance of senior team members.

  • Testing Support: Assist in writing and executing unit tests to verify the functionality and correctness of software components.

  • Bug Tracking: Help identify, log, and track software defects (bugs) through bug tracking systems.

  • Code Implementation: Write code following coding standards and best practices provided by the team.

  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with team members and contribute to team discussions and meetings.

  • Version Control Usage: Utilize version control systems to manage code changes and participate in code reviews.

  • Debugging Assistance: Aid in debugging and troubleshooting software issues to assist senior team members in resolving problems.

  • Requirements Understanding: Gain an understanding of project requirements and specifications.

  • Quality Assurance: Participate in testing and quality assurance activities to ensure the reliability and quality of software.

  • Learning and Skill Development: Continuously learn and improve coding skills, programming languages, and software development tools.

Compensation:

$55,700.00 - $95,050.00 USD

Compensation range listed is based on primary location of the position.  Actual base salary offer is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skills, experience and actual hiring location. Your recruiter can share more information about the specific offer for the job location during the hiring process.
