The Impact of an Associate Product Strategist at Coupa:

We are seeking a highly technical and execution-oriented intern to help operationalize and digitize the ISV partner lifecycle for the Coupa App Marketplace.

This role goes beyond traditional operations — the intern will leverage AI tools (e.g., Claude Code) to build lightweight agents, dashboards, and workflow automations across three core areas: partner application, onboarding, and partner management.

You will act as a builder at the intersection of partnerships, operations, and AI, creating scalable systems that reduce manual work and improve visibility across the ecosystem.

What You'll Do:

AI-Driven Partner Application & Funnel Management

  • Build AI agents (using Claude Code or similar) to:
  • Automate partner application intake, parsing, and qualification
  • Summarize applications and generate evaluation insights
  • Create a centralized funnel tracker (e.g., Airtable / Sheets / lightweight app)
  • Develop dashboards to track partner progression and bottlenecks
  • Improve speed and quality of partner evaluation workflows
  •  AI-Powered Partner Onboarding Automation

  • Map and digitize the current onboarding process (20+ deliverables, 6+ teams)
  • Build workflow automation agents to:
  • Track onboarding steps and dependencies
  • Send reminders, status updates, and next actions
  • Generate onboarding summaries for stakeholders
  • Design a system of record for onboarding progress and accountability
  • Reduce onboarding time through automation and process redesign
  • Partner Management, QBRs & GTM Support

  • Build AI-assisted tools to:
  • Generate QBR summaries and performance insights
  • Track partner KPIs (pipeline, revenue, activation)
  • Support GTM planning and co-sell tracking
  • Create dashboards for partner performance and demand management
  • Support prioritization of partner initiatives based on data
  •  Marketplace Ops Infrastructure (Build Layer)

  • Design and implement lightweight internal tools (no heavy engineering required)
  • Connect systems (CRM, spreadsheets, docs) into a unified workflow
  • Prototype and deploy AI copilots for internal teams
  • Continuously improve systems based on user feedback

What You Will Bring to Coupa:

  • Strong problem-solving and builder mindset (bias toward action)
  • Experience with or strong interest in:
  • AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, APIs, automation tools)
  • No-code / low-code tools (Airtable, Notion, Zapier, Retool, etc.)
  • Comfortable structuring messy processes into scalable systems
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with technical and business teams

The estimated pay range for this role is $79,000 - $99,000

The starting salary for the successful candidate will be based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location.
