Overview

As an Associate, Strategic Alliances, you will play a key role in expanding our partner ecosystem by initiating and deepening relationships with top-tier benefit brokerages. Reporting to the Business Development Manager and working closely with the Head of Growth Marketing and Strategic Alliances Managers, your responsibilities will include:

Role and Responsibilities

Prospecting & Relationship Development
  • Identify and engage consultants within your assigned set of consulting houses through outbound campaigns, warm introductions, and inbound inquiries.

  • Conduct tailored outreach across Email, Phone, and LinkedIn to drive interest and engagement.

  • Maintain accurate records of outreach activity and progress within CRM systems.

Event & Conference Engagement
  • Represent Benepass at consultant-hosted conferences and industry events.

  • Drive meetings and meaningful event engagement with both benefits consultants and their clients.

Inbound Lead Management
  • Manage all inbound consultant inquiries from alliance-driven campaigns.

  • Qualify inbound interest and route to appropriate strategic alliances managers and account executives.

Broker Engagement & Enablement
  • Assist in recruiting consultants to attend regional events, roundtables, and webinars.

  • Coordinate and secure “lunch and learn” sessions with consulting teams to introduce Benepass and educate on product capabilities.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Collaborate with the Marketing and Strategic Alliances Managers to align campaign targets, timing, messaging, and follow-up.

  • Provide feedback to internal stakeholders based on broker conversations to improve partner-facing collateral and GTM strategy.

Pipeline Management & Reporting
  • Maintain clean, accurate broker engagement records in Salesforce and other systems.

  • Report regularly on outreach, meetings booked, and key broker engagement metrics.

Requirements
  • 1–2 years of professional experience in a client-facing role within a benefits consulting, brokerage, or advisory environment (e.g., Analyst, Associate, Consultant).

  • Proven experience engaging external stakeholders through email, phone, and LinkedIn, with the confidence to proactively initiate conversations and build trusted relationships.

  • Comfortable executing outbound prospecting, including making phone calls and crafting highly personalized outreach tailored to benefits consultants and brokerage teams.

  • Hands-on experience using CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) to manage pipelines, log activity, and maintain accurate, high-quality data.

  • Familiarity with sales engagement platforms such as Outreach.io (or similar tools) to build, manage, and optimize outbound sequences.

  • Highly coachable and intellectually curious, with a strong desire to develop commercial acumen and go-to-market skills.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate value and represent Benepass professionally to external partners.

  • Thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, demonstrating ownership, accountability, and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

Compensation & Incentive Plan
  • Base Salary: $80,000

  • Variable Compensation: $30,000 annually; paid monthly, uncapped

  • On-Target Earnings (OTE): $110,000

Range(s) is subject to change. Benepass takes a number of factors into account when determining individual starting pay, including market comparables, interview performance, peer compensation, and years of experience.What We Offer
