Audit Partner - Austin

In order to continue our rapid growth and success in providing compliance, planning, and consulting services to our clients, we’re currently seeking a practice builder to be a growth engine for our Austin Assurance practice.    

In this highly visible, market-facing role, you’ll be responsible for practice growth along with helping to design, lead, and build the Austin audit practice focused on audit compliance and consulting for middle-market, private equity/venture backed and public companies. Our ideal candidate will have experience with a variety of commercial industries including Technology and Life Sciences, Industrials and Consumer Goods (advanced manufacturing, consumer packaged goods, retail), and/or Professional Services. This position will be based in Austin and relocation assistance may be provided. Limited travel should be expected. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Consistently grow the practice through expansion of services to existing clients, cross selling with other advisory practices, and obtaining new clients. 
• Execute the Firm and Audit Service Line vision, strategy, and goals for the Austin audit practice, as well as support other leaders in their execution of the strategic plan.
• Ensure discipline around execution of Service Line business processes and Firm business practices for the Austin audit practice.
• Manage the utilization and productivity of professionals in the practice to achieve operational and financial targets.
• Develop professionals within the practice and build a talent pipeline with the requisite technical expertise.
• Drive consistency, collaboration and communication among Service Line, Market Leaders, Shared Service Leaders, Advisory and Industry Leaders as well as with other stakeholders.
• Develop the Austin audit annual budget and drive results against budget and key performance indicators throughout the year for the practice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting. Masters preferred.
• Must be CPA certified and have an active CPA license.
• Minimum of 15 years’ experience with a large local, regional or national public accounting firm.
• Demonstrated experience in driving growth and building an office, practice, industry group, service line or similar.
• Ability to drive success through the influencing of Partners and staff.
