The Automation Solutions Engineer will develop and automate complex IT environments, collaborate with teams, and ensure high code quality in infrastructure projects.
We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Solutions Engineer with hands-on expertise across multiple domains, including networking, compute, storage, and containerized infrastructure. This role involves developing, integrating, and automating complex environments through advanced scripting, orchestration, and infrastructure-as-code practices.
You will work closely with our customers and internal engineering, product management, and technical success teams to design, build, and deploy robust automation workflows that streamline deployment, configuration, and lifecycle management of multi-domain infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement automation workflows that integrate across compute, storage, networking, and cloud-native layers.
- Develop infrastructure-as-code templates and reusable modules using Python, Ansible, Terraform, and Helm.
- Translate technical documentation and architectural designs into executable automation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, DevOps, product, support) to deliver end-to-end automated solutions.
- Troubleshoot integration issues across hybrid environments (on-prem, virtualized, and cloud).
- Maintain high standards of code quality, documentation, and version control.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of deployment processes, templates, and automation best practices.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in automation, DevOps, or software engineering roles.
- Strong proficiency in one or more scripting or programming languages (Python preferred).
- Working knowledge of Ansible, Terraform, and Helm for orchestration and infrastructure automation.
- Experience with virtualization (VMware, KVM) and container platforms (OpenShift, Kubernetes).
- Understanding of networking (Cisco, Juniper), storage systems, and Linux-based environments.
- Ability to read and operationalize complex technical documentation (such as vendor validated designs).
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
