A world empowered by autonomy. We build robotic vehicles to improve logistics safety, forge a greener Earth, and enhance human lives.

We are a closely-knit team aspiring to change the world through disruptive technology. We are innovators. We are tinkerers. We are problem-solvers. And we have a fair amount of magic dust up our sleeves. We have a plan for fleet-level deployment of autonomous vehicles, and we are looking for the best-of-the-best to join us in making this a reality.

About Venti Technologies

Based in the U.S. and Asia, Venti Technologies is the leader in safe-speed autonomous logistics systems, developing the future of goods transportation. Using rigorous mathematics, deep learning, and theoretically-grounded algorithms, Venti has a proprietary collection of autonomy technologies including a suite of powerful logistics algorithms. Venti’s proven value proposition of saving costs, increasing vehicle utilization, and improving safety is recognized by customers and driving growth.
Launched in 2018, Venti brings together an unsurpassed team internationally. The company has autonomous systems deployed in Asia for industrial and logistics sites and a growing pipeline. Venti has offices in Cambridge (Massachusetts, USA), Suzhou (China), and Singapore – our Asian headquarters.

We are seeking a skilled robotics engineer to deploy autonomous systems onto existing terminal tractors and support on-site testing, validation, and service engineering. This is not a research role but focuses on implementing and integrating existing autonomous vehicle software, ensuring seamless operation in real-world environments. The ideal candidate will also assist with vehicle recovery and sensor calibration tasks.

Role responsibilities
  • System Deployment:

    • Deploy and integrate autonomous vehicle software onto existing terminal tractors, ensuring compatibility with vehicle hardware.

    • Configure and optimize software for real-time operation, focusing on reliability and performance in logistics environments.

    • Integrate sensors (LIDAR, cameras, radar) and communication systems (e.g., CAN, Ethernet) with existing vehicle platforms.

    • Perform minor software modifications or updates to meet deployment requirements.

  • Testing and Validation:

    • Conduct on-site testing and validation of autonomous systems to ensure functionality, safety, and performance in terminal operations.

    • Develop and execute test plans to verify system integration with existing vehicles.

    • Analyze test data, troubleshoot issues, and implement fixes to ensure robust system performance.

  • Service Engineering Support:

    • Assist with vehicle recovery operations, ensuring safe and efficient return to base during operational issues.

    • Perform calibration and maintenance of LIDAR, cameras, and other sensors to maintain optimal performance.

    • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues on-site, collaborating with operations and engineering teams to resolve challenges.

  • Collaboration and Documentation:

    • Work closely with hardware engineers and operations teams to ensure seamless system integration and deployment.

    • Document deployment processes, test results, and service procedures to support scalability and compliance.

    • Participate in team discussions to improve system deployment and operational efficien

Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.

  • Experience:

    • 2+ years of experience in software development or system deployment, ideally in robotics, autonomous systems, or automotive industries.

    • Hands-on experience with C++, Python, or ROS for deploying software in real-time systems.

    • Familiarity with sensor integration (LIDAR, cameras, radar) and vehicle communication protocols (e.g., CAN, Ethernet).

    • Experience in testing and validation of integrated systems, preferably in automotive or logistics environments.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Proficiency in software deployment tools (e.g., Git, Docker, Linux).

    • Basic knowledge of hardware troubleshooting and sensor calibration.

    • Understanding of vehicle system integration and embedded systems.

  • Soft Skills:

    • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

    • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate across disciplines.

    • Comfortable with on-site work, including vehicle recovery and maintenance tasks.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience deploying autonomous systems or automation solutions in logistics or automotive industries.

  • Familiarity with railroad or terminal operations.

  • Prior experience in field operations or on-site technical support.
