The Tidal Financial Group is a leading ETF investment technology platform dedicated to creating, operating, and growing ETFs. We combine expertise and innovative partnership approaches to offer comprehensive, value-generating ETF solutions. Our platform offers best-in-class strategic guidance, product planning, trust and fund services, legal support, operations support, marketing and research, and sales and distribution services.

About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Fund Administrator to support regulatory reporting and fund administration activities across the Trusts sponsored by Tidal and its clients.

This role is primarily responsible for the monthly collection, validation, and analysis of data for more than 300 funds to support regulatory filings, including Forms N-PORT and N-CEN. The position requires aggregating information from multiple sources — including investment advisers, fund accounting agents, custodians, and third-party data providers such as Bloomberg — analyzing and reconciling the data, and ensuring its accurate ingestion into standardized reporting templates for regulatory submission.

This role reports to the Trust Administration / Regulatory Reporting Manager and may also support broader fund administration activities on an ad hoc basis. The ideal candidate is highly organized, adaptable in a fast-paced environment, and possesses advanced Excel skills and strong regulatory reporting experience within the ETF or registered fund industry.

What you'll do

Regulatory Reporting (Primary Focus)

  • Coordinate the monthly collection of portfolio, financial, and reference data for 300+ funds from multiple internal and external sources.
  • Validate, reconcile, and analyze data to ensure completeness and accuracy prior to regulatory submission.
  • Identify and resolve data discrepancies by coordinating with advisers, fund accountants, custodians, and data vendors.
  • Ingest and format data within standardized reporting templates for Forms N-PORT and N-CEN filings.
  • Prepare and/or review regulatory filings, including Forms N-PORT, N-CEN, 24f-2, N-PX, and N-CSR, whether prepared internally or by external service providers.

Fund Administration Support

  • Support new fund launches, including operational setup, vendor coordination, and documentation review.
  • Assist with regulatory exams, internal audits, and due diligence reviews.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of operational processes and internal controls.

Team & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Provide guidance and training to junior administrators.
  • Collaborate with internal teams including Compliance, Legal, Capital Markets, and Client Services.
  • Coordinate with third-party service providers such as administrators, fund accountants, custodians, auditors, and legal counsel.

Qualifications

  • 5–7 years of experience in fund administration, ETF operations, regulatory reporting, or related financial services roles.
  • Direct experience preparing or supporting SEC regulatory filings for registered funds (including N-PORT and N-CEN) is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred; MBA desirable.
  • Advanced Excel skills (including formulas, pivot tables, data analysis, and large dataset management).
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet strict regulatory deadlines in a high-volume environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with internal teams and external service providers.

Why Join Us?

  • Exposure to the full ETF operations lifecycle across a large and diverse fund platform.
  • Opportunity to deepen regulatory reporting and technical expertise in a growing ETF organization.
  • A collaborative and dynamic work environment where your work directly supports regulatory compliance and operational excellence.

We are prioritizing candidates who are located within proximity to Chicago, IL; Milwaukee, WI; New York City, NY; and West Palm Beach, FL.
