Job Overview:

LPL Financial’s Investor Experience organization is seeking a Advisor System of Record (SOR) Product Owner to define and deliver the future of our Advisor data management ecosystem. This role bridges business strategy, data governance, and technology delivery, ensuring our advisor platform has accurate, governed, and high-quality advisor data across systems.

The ideal candidate combines product ownership expertise, data governance acumen, and technical literacy, enabling them to translate business needs into scalable, governed data solutions that power client and advisor experiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Advisor SOR capabilities and integrations across the advisor platform.

  • Collaborate with business, data, and technology stakeholders to ensure alignment on goals, requirements, and governance principles.

  • Serve as liaison to Commonwealth and future M&A integration teams for metadata documentation, data quality, and lineage validation.

  • Write and manage epics, stories, and acceptance criteria in Jira, ensuring traceability between business and technical requirements.

  • Define and maintain data governance standards, including quality rules, scorecards, and SOR documentation in Confluence.

  • Oversee data profiling, lineage analysis, and validation to ensure integrity across source and target systems.

  • Lead and mentor team members in agile practices, sprint planning, and continuous improvement.

  • Monitor and communicate project progress, risks, and dependencies, driving resolution and stakeholder transparency.

  • Advocate for customer-centric, data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement of data quality and usability.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field (advanced degree preferred).

  • 7+ years in data-centric product ownership, data management, or governance roles within financial services or fintech.

  • 5+ years experience with SQL, data modeling (star/snowflake), and data governance tools.

  • 5+ years experience translating complex data concepts into business value and vice versa.

Core Competencies:

  • Deep understanding of CRM advisor data architecture, data integration, and systems of record (SOR).

  • Hands-on experience in agile delivery, Jira, and Confluence.

  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Product Ownership

  • Technical Acumen (SQL, Data Models, APIs)

  • Communication & Leadership

  • Continuous Improvement Mindset

Preferences:

  • Experience with AWS, Snowflake, and data pipeline transformations.

  • Background in wealth management or financial advisory services.

  • Familiarity with API-based & Kafka integrations, and CRM data flows.

  • Proficiency in Tableau, Power BI or other visualization tools.

  • Proven ability to mentor team members and drive a culture of collaboration and governance excellence.

Pay Range:

$109,270-$182,117/year
 
Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
