Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced AWS Architect to support our Quality Center of Excellence (COE). This role will focus on designing scalable AWS cloud solutions, supporting cloud-native application development, and driving engineering best practices across development teams. The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical leader who can work independently, take ownership of initiatives, and leverage modern AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity.


Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure, scalable, and highly available AWS cloud solutions.

• Architect and support cloud-native applications and modernization initiatives.

• Collaborate with development, DevOps, and QA teams to establish best practices and technical standards.

• Build and maintain cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or CloudFormation).

• Support CI/CD pipelines and DevOps automation.

• Evaluate and implement AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar technologies.

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams.

• Create architecture documentation and communicate technical solutions to stakeholders.

• Take ownership of projects and drive initiatives with minimal supervision.


Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in software development, cloud engineering, or solution architecture.

• Strong hands-on experience designing and implementing AWS solutions.

• Experience developing applications hosted in AWS or other cloud environments.

• Knowledge of AWS services such as EC2, Lambda, S3, API Gateway, RDS, IAM, VPC, and CloudWatch.

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK).

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, Docker, and Kubernetes.

• Exposure to Agentic AI or AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or Amazon Q.

• Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.

• Ability to work independently and lead technical initiatives from concept through implementation.


Preferred Qualifications

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional).

• Experience with microservices, serverless architecture, and cloud modernization.

• Experience implementing engineering standards or supporting a Center of Excellence.

• Knowledge of modern software development best practices and Agile methodologies.
