The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) San Antonio Engineering team is seeking a B52 Manufacturing Planner (Associate and Experienced) to support B-52 CERP.
The B-52 Commercial Engine Replacement Program (CERP) will upgrade the baseline B-52 with new commercial or non-developmental-type engines to extend the service life of the B-52. This position can support various Military, Surveillance & Bomber(MS&B) programs on the San Antonio site.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Knowledge of Parts, Materials and Processes related to Electrical, Electronic, Electro-mechanical commodities. Knowledge in electrical assembly processes, wire routing, wire terminations, connector assembly, and testing processes.
  • Participates on Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to integrate technical solutions across multiple disciplines.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing planning systems and ship side installation support preferred.
  • Develops, identifies and implements conceptual designs and maintains the program architecture for build.
  • Leads and implements manufacturing plans and nonconformance plans.
  • Conducts producibility and variation analyses to ensure that manufacturing process capability matches requirements.
  • Assists in providing producibility information for inclusion in project plans and helps document producibility best practices.
  • Resolves technical problems of significant impact to performance, cost or schedule.
  • Coordinates and implements new engineering principles, theories, advanced technologies and concepts.
  • Validates and ensures production readiness of solutions to complex problems. Implements lean principles and technologies.
  • Work with Industrial Engineering and IPT to sequence and integrate systems hardware installations with modification plan

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in San Antonio.
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • 2+ years of experience reading and understanding engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications.
  • 2+ years of experience utilizing professional/technical writing skills, teaming successfully to solve technical issues.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills Experience):
  • 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Level 3: 5+ years of experience
  • 1+ or more years aircraft (or similar) maintenance knowledge
  • 1+ or more years related Shipside experience (supporting operations and quality)
  • 1+ years' experience with IVT.
  • Microsoft Office Suite Skills.
  • Experience with CATIA.
  • Experience with GoldEsp.

Summary pay range: Associate $61,200 - 82,800
Summary pay range: Experienced $73,100 - 98,900
