Software Engineer (Backend)

About the role

We’re looking for an experienced backend software engineer to help drive and evolve our product. Our technology is new and rapidly evolving: you’ll be an early contributor with a substantial impact on the architecture and be solving multiple exciting technical challenges!

What you’ll do

• You'll design, extend and optimize a large-scale, highly scalable, and fault-tolerant system that handles large graph datasets at enterprise scale. Our product is processing billions of events from hundreds of thousands of endpoints in real-time with sub-second latency requirements

• You'll architect and implement Security products to protect customers data

• You'll be solving real-world scaling problems that require thorough performance analysis and troubleshooting skills

• You get to work with a modern and constantly evolving microservices-based software stack which includes Go, Kubernetes, BigTable, BigQuery, Spanner, Redis, Docker, Etcd

• You'll write secure-by-design hardened software that must withstand real-world attacks, while processing untrusted data and communicating with hundreds of thousands of endpoints over the internet

Who you are

• You have a strong track record in building backends that are actively used at scale. You contributed significantly to and extended their architecture.

• You have experience developing large applications preferably in Go, or alternatively in Java, C#, Scala, Kotlin or Rust.

• You used databases at a very large scale. Knowledge of the GCP services is a plus

• You have experience with profiling and optimizing the distributed code that uses large databases and streaming platforms. 

• If you have experience in building connectors that integrate at API level with SaaS applications commonly used in the enterprises let us know

• You have hands-on experience with microservices and Kubernetes

• You have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and you can be available to frequently communicate with distributed teams in Europe and US

• You thrive in fast paced environments tackling ambiguous challenges and you enjoying shipping with velocity

• You have a customer centric mindset and enjoy direct feedback from customers

• Located in Bucharest or Cluj, Romania
