Position Summary & Responsibilities

SIG is shaping the future of higher education, and we’re looking for experts in the Ellucian Banner Finance module to join our team. If you bring multiple years of experience in higher education finance leadership or as a consultant working directly with Banner Finance, this could be the role for you. You’ll collaborate closely with clients to implement and optimize Banner solutions, applying your knowledge of finance business processes and best practices to drive measurable success. SIG offers a remote work environment and travel to client campuses.

  • Collaborate with business units to understand financial operations and requirements.
  • Consult with clients on using various technological tools to improve business processes.
  • Configure the Banner financial module to meet business needs.
  • Provide expertise in using Banner to improve and automate business processes within the finance office at a college or university.
  • Assist in testing and implementation of financial software.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to system usage, configuration, and data integrity.
  • Provide end-user training and support documentation.
  • Keep abreast of industry changes and recommend system enhancements to increase efficiency.

Required Qualifications

  • 5 or more years working within the Higher Education Industry.
  • 5 or more years of experience working with Ellucian Banner, demonstrating advanced user proficiency.
  • Experience implementing the Banner Finance module at a college or university.
  • Strong knowledge of financial operations, including general accounting, budgeting, and purchasing within the higher education industry.
  • Experience in a consulting capacity, focusing on enhancing business processes and demonstrating success in creating efficiency.
  • Ability to troubleshoot functional issues within Banner and communicate user requirements to the technical support team.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills and a proven customer service approach.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing project-based work.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • Certified Public Accountant.

Pay Transparency

  • The salary range is $90,000 -$120,000 + bonus

The listed salary range for this position is indicative and subject to adjustment based on the candidate's unique skills and location. Final compensation will be determined through mutual agreement between the successful candidate and SIG.
