The Role: Billing & Coding Operations Coordinator

The BCO Operations Coordinator is the central point of contact for all coding and billing related inquiries from our internal customers.  In this role you will coordinate projects and facilitate the workflow to ensure claims questions and projects are handled timely and get routed to the appropriate coding specialist.  Each day might be a little different, but you’ll use your project management skills and previous healthcare experience to help us deliver excellent results to our clients. As a BCO Operations Coordinator, you will:

  • Data entry of claim information into Revecore systems.
  • Assist analysts in obtaining documentation needed for billing or coding review.
  • Maintain department tracking and reporting mechanisms used for analysis.
  • Provide clerical and administrative support to Manager and team including filing, printing, copying, etc.
  • Assist with special projects under the guidance of an experienced coder
  • Maintain regular contact with necessary parties regarding project status including clients, managers, and other Revecore personnel
  • Attend department and company meetings
  • Comply with federal and state laws, company policies and procedures
  • Assist with other duties as needed

 

You will be successful if you have:

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel)
  • Advanced computer proficiency, quick learner
  • Mathematical skills: ability to calculate rates using addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
  • Ability to read and interpret an extensive variety of documents such as contracts, claims, instructions, policies and procedures in written (in English) and diagram form
  • Ability to write routine correspondence (in English)
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Commitment to company values 

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Healthcare claims experience is a plus but not required
  • Medical coding experience is a plus but not required
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Work at Home Requirements:

  • A quiet, distraction-free environment to work from in your home.  
  • A reliable hard-wired private internet connection that is not supplied via cellular data or hotspot is required. 
  • Home internet with speeds >20 Mbps for downloads and >10 Mbps for uploads. 
  • The workspace area accommodates all workstation equipment, related materials, and provides adequate surface area to be productive.
