Who We Are

Nava is on a mission to #fixhealthcare. Nearly 160M Americans rely on their employers for healthcare — yet the system is broken, bloated, and dominated by incumbents who resist change. Nava fuses deep benefits expertise with cutting-edge technology to deliver a modern, transparent, and affordable healthcare experience.

Founded by seasoned entrepreneurs and backed by leading investors, Nava is one of the fastest-growing benefits brokerages in the country. We’re the first to combine brokerage know-how with proprietary tech like HQ: our AI-powered benefits platform, designed to help HR teams take control of renewals, simplify strategy, eliminate spreadsheet chaos, and empower employees to navigate their benefits with ease.

In a $50B industry hungry for change, Nava is built to win — lowering costs for employers, delighting employees, and reshaping how healthcare works for millions of Americans.

About the Role

We’re hiring a Benefits Analyst Contractor to join our BA Pod and support with a variety of project work across our Client Success team. This is a contract role (40 hours/week) with the potential for extension. The role is remote and can be based anywhere in the U.S.

This position will focus on tactical, behind-the-scenes project work. No direct client ownership or client-facing meetings. It’s a great opportunity for someone who thrives on detail-oriented work and is comfortable with a contractor setup.

🚀 What you’ll do

In this role, you’ll provide surge capacity and project support to help our team deliver exceptional client service. Key responsibilities include:

  • Build and maintain renewal workbooks, including spreadsheeting, data validation, and rate modeling

  • Support benchmarking, plan design analysis, and other financial and strategic projects

  • Draft benefit communications and compliance-related documentation (e.g., ERISA Wraps, SPDs, SBCs)

  • Prepare open enrollment materials, employee communications, and benefit overviews

  • Support eligibility and benefits administration workflows across systems such as UKG, Employee Navigator, Gusto, Rippling, Paylocity, and ADP

  • Execute core eligibility tasks including processing enrollments and terminations, troubleshooting system errors, ordering ID cards, and managing OE changes

  • Assist with audits, census builds, data gathering, and maintaining accuracy across ben admin systems

  • Prepare snapshots, legal notices, and other recurring client deliverables

  • Conduct peer reviews and quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency across deliverables

  • Support ad hoc benefits projects across the team as needed

🚀 Who will thrive in this role

  • You enjoy structured project work and thrive in roles that require precision and attention to detail

  • You’re comfortable jumping between project work and high-volume operational tasks, and can maintain accuracy in both

  • You’re comfortable operating independently while managing multiple priorities

  • You like being the go-to person behind the scenes who helps power great work

  • You’re familiar with brokerage operations and benefits deliverables

🚀 What you’ll bring

  • 3–10 years of experience in a benefits analyst, account manager or similar role within a benefits brokerage or consulting environment required

  • Familiarity with large group plans (100–5,000 MELs), California and New York market experience a plus

  • Strong Excel skills and the ability to work comfortably in Google Suite

  • Experience drafting benefits-related documents such as SPD/SBCs, ERISA Wraps, and enrollment materials in both languages

  • Understanding of financial structures such as fully insured, level-funded, self-funded, and captive plans

  • Professional fluency in Spanish and English (written and verbal) a plus

  • Detail-oriented mindset with a strong sense of ownership and follow-through

  • Availability to commit to 35-40 hour/week contract position

🚀 Contract Details

  • Duration: month to month, with potential for extension

  • Hours: 35-40 hours/week

  • Location: Fully remote, US-based

  • Status: Contractor (1099)

  • Pay Rate: $30–$40 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications

🚀 Interview Process

Our process is designed to be thoughtful, efficient, and give you a clear view into the role:

  • Introductory conversation with our Talent Ops team

  • Take-home technical assessment

  • Conversation with our Client Success leadership team

  • Reference checks

  • Final decision + offer!
