SUMMARY

Sun & Ski Sports is seeking a driven, energetic, and customer-focused Bike Sales Coordinator to revolutionize the customer experience in our store. If you thrive in a team environment and have the drive to be #1, this is your opportunity to lead and make an impact!

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Champion a customer-first culture, ensuring every guest receives exceptional service that exceeds expectations.
  • Deliver prompt, high-quality bike services, repairs, and fittings tailored to each customer’s needs.
  • Train and develop store associates on effective selling strategies and product knowledge with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Coach and inspire your team to reach individual and store goals in a motivating, team-oriented environment.
  • Oversee the visual presentation of the bike department to ensure a compelling, brand-aligned shopping experience.
  • Keep merchandising fresh and customer-friendly, adhering to Sun & Ski standards.
  • Monitor and minimize inventory shrink, enforce accurate cash handling, and uphold operational integrity.
  • Ensure full adherence to company policies and procedures across your team.
  • Actively participate in bike clinics (both in-store and off-site) to stay ahead of product trends and enhance your team’s expertise.
  • Represent Sun & Ski Sports within the local cycling community, promoting our brand and building relationships.
  • Support and lead bike/cycling events, cultivating a vibrant and engaged customer base.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with store leadership and corporate partners to align with company goals and initiatives.
  • Identify challenges and opportunities within your department and propose innovative, actionable solutions.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 1+ years of management experience, preferably in a retail or specialty shop environment.
  • 2+ years of experience in retail sales and/or working in a bike shop.
  • Solid understanding of business operations, including inventory control and shrink reduction strategies.
  • Proven ability in networking, recruiting, interviewing, training, and team development.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for building productive relationships with vendors, buyers, store teams, and senior management.
  • Demonstrated organizational and time-management abilities, with an aptitude for handling multiple priorities effectively.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Outdoor enthusiast: Deep passion for cycling, with enthusiasm for other outdoor activities such as skiing/snowboarding, water sports, swimming, surfing, skateboarding, and more
