Job Description:

Job Title: Billing Specialist - Litigation Support

Position Summary:

Magna Legal Services is seeking an entry to mid-level Billing Specialist to join our Litigation Consulting billing team. This role supports the end-to-end billing process, collaboration with internal consultants, and invoice submission to law firms and corporate clients. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who is detail-oriented, motivated, and able to think critically while working remotely as part of a team.

Experience with Sage Intacct, NetSuite, and/or BigTime is preferred, but not required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, review, and submit invoices to clients
  • Ensure invoices comply with client billing guidelines and requirements
  • Collaborate with internal consultants to collect and validate time and expense entries
  • Communicate with law firms and corporate clients regarding invoices, billing questions, and discrepancies
  • Address invoice rejections, reductions, and resubmissions in a timely manner
  • Assist with vendor management–related billing activities as needed
  • Maintain accurate billing records and documentation
  • Support month-end billing processes and team initiatives

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of billing experience, including familiarity with eBilling platforms (Legal Tracker, Collaborati, LegalX, etc.) OR legal/legal services background
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines within a remote setting

Compensation: USD $22.00 - $24.50 per hour.

An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees.
